How long does it take for visa's to be received after the interview approval? The interview is this week and if he is approved I just want to figure out when I should purchase the ticket so it isn't too expensive.

They say two weeks to a month - most people have been saying two weeks, but (of course) that isn't guaranteed.

Hello All!
We got approved officially on August 11 :)
Though in Australia, I really found out August 13. It's been almost 8 months. Glad it finally happened.
My fiance actually heard from the congressman's office, and they really have been so helpful, at least with keeping us informed.

She even said she would follow up with NVC to be sure they received it.

Good luck to anyone waiting! I see a lot of December people were approved on and around august 11!

Hi my fiancee recieved her letter from National Visia Center but I did not receive anything from them. She got hers about 2 weeks ago and has been filling out the information. There is spot that asks for your Visa ID number. I have not gotten a letter from the government but she has. Is that normal for her to get her letter before me from the NVC? Also I guess the only way to get it is to call?? thanks
