We called TSC yesterday and they told us that if we don't hear anything by the end of June to call them again ...

Hopefully they are really trying to finish all the applications in a 6 month window as someone said...

But still... if you know how to know more precisely about our paperwork, please let us know!

My fiancee basically contacted her congressman's office gave them the receipt number, NOA 1 date, and authorisation that they could enquire on her behalf (I think the congressman's secretary had to fill out some sort of form to do this?) and then they rang TSC and got the response that our application was passed to a review officer last week. Maybe it depends on how helpful your congressman/woman is willing to be?!

That reponse seems to be the common rhetoric when someone has a congressman inquire. "Passed to officer for review"

I tried last month and the request didn't go thru because they said it is still in "normal processing time" because the date on the website said September so they will not consider it being outside or normal time unless the date on the site is after yours ? But you never know, it doesn't hurt to try

first your case must have six months in uscis, test at 6 months

Put in a bogus date, aka you don't remember your filing date, it'll go though and appear on your account a few min after.

bttmfor10i, so....In theory yes, you can put the date you "remember" and yes, they will place an inquiry into your file.

If you need further proof attached is a screen shot. You are also allowed to do a general inquiry into your file with a Tier 2.

I found the representative for my district who serves in the House of Representatives (not the Senate) and went to his website, which included instructions for immigration inquiries. You can use this website to find a list of representatives for your state and then view the district maps to learn who represents you: https://www.govtrack.us/congress/members Then find that person's website and you can contact them through there. I had to fill out a form giving them permission to look into my case but it was pretty simple. Hope this helps.

I can't believe i left this info out of my original post about approval (guess I was too excited and not thinking clearly) but i did contact my state representative; they put in an inquiry last Monday and on Wednesday night (2 days later) I got the NOA2 approval.

so maybe that had something to do with it or maybe not, but in my opinion it is worth a try for December filers to contact their state representatives. maybe since it's been 6 months, TSC would rather just hurry up and process yours than bother with responding to the official inquiry... i had also been cynical about that helping but have to consider at this point that it could have made the difference!

How did u go about doing so? How do I get more info on that?
