I dnt think there is any way to make it quiker unfortunately and that hurts a little knowing there is nothing u can do but wait. U could try to have an expedite but its nearly impossible unless u prove extreme financial burden or something along the lines.

??here's to receiving good news this week ☺

I can't believe i left this info out of my original post about approval (guess I was too excited and not thinking clearly) but i did contact my state representative; they put in an inquiry last Monday and on Wednesday night (2 days later) I got the NOA2 approval.

so maybe that had something to do with it or maybe not, but in my opinion it is worth a try for December filers to contact their state representatives. maybe since it's been 6 months, TSC would rather just hurry up and process yours than bother with responding to the official inquiry... i had also been cynical about that helping but have to consider at this point that it could have made the difference!

I'm not sure anything can make it go quicker for you as an individual. From what I gather, people on this site as a whole has had some impact on the decision for some applications to be sent to CSC to help clear the backlog at TSC?

My fiancee's family are going to contact their state representatives to try and see if they can find out the status and even nudge a little... they didn't share my cynicism that it would make no difference! Guess it doesn't hurt, though!

I posted this in another thread to - but trying my luck everywhere I can.

Okay - Hello Decemberists.

Fellow decemberer here. Just curious to know who is at where in their process?

Ours was received on December 22, 2014 and we have heard nothing since. After the 5 month mark passed, we started calling them and were basically told nothing will be done for us because 8 months is now the standard. HOWEVER, I am now seeing that some of you have been getting your approvals - and I am pleading with you to share your experiences. What are you doing to get your approvals? According to USCIS and visa journey - Texas has just barely started looking at November applications. And yet! Some of you guys have gotten lucky. Please let us what you did - did you approach a lawyer for help? Did you call them every day incessantly? Did you apply to expedite your petitions? (Philippines applicants can disregard this last part).

Please - anyone and everyone! Tell us!

And congratulations of course!

I wish I could tell you guys a strategy. There was none. No expedite. No senate or congress contact. We have only called once, two months ago, when they announced the transfers - useless, infuriating call.

Then, out of thin air, the NOA-2 showed up. I am still half expecting it to be a prank. No idea what their system is.

Congratulations! What were the reasons of the expedite if don't mind me asking? I have tried and theh wouldn't even consider my request, i was told i had to prove financial hardship.

I actually did it twice. The first one was in January and was flat out rubber stamped denied and I used "Severe Financial Loss" because my job would lose my services and they would still pay me and the cost it took to travel to the Philippines. The second time was because of a very nice gentleman who encouraged me to do another expedite. We chose I believe compelling reason and discussed some of the problems where she lived, such as the terrorist that live there, people being displaced due to the ongoing fighting, etc and included the information from the last expedite. But this time they asked for more information and I sent it right away and was approved several hours later.

I posted this in another thread to - but trying my luck everywhere I can.

Try anything your congressman/woman, filing an expedite if possible, you can file one every 30 days...on the Philippines, not everyone is automatically expedited. There are many Filipino couples that are still waiting for their NAO2 approval. I know there are a couple from December that are still waiting...I am a prime example of a Filipino couple who wasn't automatically expedited. There were many who filed after me and were, but I wasn't. It took several months to have my case expedited.

I really appreciate those of you who have responded with your own thoughts and experiences. It is extremely frustrating to know that this just seems to be happening randomly to some of you but not others.

That TSC transfer announcement back in March did absolutely zero, seemingly. I just think it's absurd that they have such massive discrepancies between their processing centers and that there is literally ZERO transparency about how they work.

Also - I'm just wondering if anyone can explain how visajourney calculates processing time. How are their getting their data? I actually check that page religiously on a daily basis - so I just assume it's correct. But is it? How do they know that TSC is processing November 1? What is this based on?

I dont really know where they get the data but i think it's from people's experiences on VJ. It is just an estimate because there are quite a few October filers still waiting to get their No2

Yes I think it's an average based on either the last 15 approvals or something like that. I think our timelines are then also estimated based on this average date. That's why, unfortunately, it can be quite misleading. I would suggest looking at the last 15 approved filers at TSC.. it gives you a better idea of who is getting approved. I've almost stopped looking at the processing time date.

From the whole December 29th batch of approvals, I guess they approve applications that have been filed close together. At least that gives some sort of order in their randomness. Hopefully if you see others who share your NOA1 date, you will not be far behind. I'm trying to stay positive! Every day brings more approvals and a chance for us :)
