I'm all about the twitter uproar. I was tweeting @uscis for a while about it but gradually gave up. I'm not big into twitter, mostly just read stuff rather than tweet so I only have like 20 followers (DORK! ) but fiance is obsessed and has over 2,000 followers. I'll ask him to join the cause.

I'm @aprilm1118 and he's @DanTheMan1118 (yes we use the same numbers. November 18 is the birthday of my, someday to officially be our, dog)

On the TSC/CSC thing, they do not handle the same number of petitions which is part of the problem. I counted the states a few weeks ago and TSC states have a population of 180 million (roughly). CSC states have a pop. of 130 million (roughly). So TSC handles 30% more than CSC does.

Check out this website with stats published by uscis. Go to I-129F, select the service center and choose the trend chart. It goes all the way back to september 2012, but hasn't been updated since August 2014. It still gives a good representation of how TSC receives more petitions, falls further and further behind each month. Whereas CSC usually completes more petitions than they receive. It's a shame that it hasnt been updated since August. Right there in August you can see where all those petitions were transferred so the number of pending were roughly equal. I would fully expect to CSC have dropped back down to its previous levels and TSC to continue to rise back up its previous levels after August.

Kristin - did you try the two contacts I listed in a post a couple of pages back? I can post the again if you like. It was the USCIS HQ and the ombudsman.

I did try the contacts a few pages back :) I tried to start a new topic but people are being rude.

So I went downstairs (I work at a school for advertising and marketing, super convienent) and asked our international students to help brainstorm about the Twitter thing. They also do their visa processing at TSC and despise them. So hopefully, with their social media knowledge and the fact that they are in the same boat as us, I can get them to work on a strategy to bring this to fruitation. Give them a few days but they're pretty awesome, hope that they can brainstorm a good way to start.

ah I didn't see that topic, shame people were being rude.

That's cool, sorry if you posted in that thread already but did you get a reply from those two contacts? We are just putting our email together for USCIS HQ aimed at unfairness of TSC & CSC back log management, rather than our case specifically.

I've unsubscribed from all the other threads, far too frustrating.

I saw the other topic, haters. A lot of those ppl already have noa2 I think and so they've totally forgotten how bad it sucks to be waiting. Some of us just don't want to roll over and do nothing. There's very little we can do right now so why not?? It can't hurt. Obviously uscis isn't a company but businesses usually respond to social media complaints. It may make no difference but why should we just not even try?

I too refuse to read anything from a CSC person or a Philipines filer. I saw one girl who had noa2 in 4 days tell people they shouldn't complain in the forums and should be positive all the time. I almost lost it but I refrained from commenting.

No reply really from anyone besides the inital one from Fl Congressmen. Every one I send is about the unfairness of the backlog. (Although I do add in my case number.)

Yes the other threads make me more frustrated.

We'll give the routes a bash and see what happens. I doubt anything will happen, more evidence of inability to deal with a "correct" service is probably a good thing. I feel it would have been faster to buy a house in California!

People outside this "issue" will never understand I feel.

-----------------------

When filling in your timeline, please understand that all I-129F's are sent to the LOCKBOX in Texas, and then ROUTED (not transferred) to your ASSIGNED service center- the one in Texas "TSC" (not the same as the lockbox!), or the one in California "CSC". If your tracking number starts with WAC, you're at the CSC, you were not transferred! There are no transfers at this time. If your number starts with SRC you're at the TSC and that's where you will serve your entire sentence.USCIS isn't fair.

They don't care about you.

-----------------------------------------------------

Want to complain to someone anyway?

So on an interesting and unexpected note, my other Senator's office called me today (I screen my calls if I don't know the number) and left a message stating that they want to talk to me about my case and the differences between CSC/TSC processing times. Surprised I actually had someone call about the message I sent earlier this week.

Virginia residents - it was Tim Kaine's office this time.
