Thank you!

I dont know.

But I am going with do-something-to-not-go-totally-crazy. 305 days in with no info are a few too many :-( I never thought we´d cross 300 days. It is awful.

Did your fiance contact both senators? You can also contact the congressmen in your area, if you can go to the office and speak to the community outreach officer in person they can make a phone call to TSC, if they're helpful that is.

At this point if anyone tells you it will be a certain amount of days before they can call TSC back just move on to the next congressman, they can call them every day and hassle them.

Yeah, that kind of sounds like being able to submit inquiries after being out of processing time - totally useless and they ignore it anyways. However, since we are at 10 months today and I am slowly loosing my mind/ patience/ you name it with this process I am a firm believer in the try-anything-to-do-something-so-as-not-to-loose-my-mind-completely method of approaching this.

Try waiting for 300+ days without any info on what in the world is going on. Believe me, it is considerable harder than waiting 8-9 months. At least in that range you are not feeling so alone, because you still have the company of other filers who are in the same boat ;-)

The active filers waiting a similarly long time were a June filer who waited 11 months for NOA2 and got no outright approval at the embassy stage and a September filer who waited 323 days for NOA2 and is currently waiting to GET to the embassy stage. 2.5 more weeks for us to match that.

So even though you are probably right we´ll give it a shot anyways... :-)

This is absolutely unreal you're still waiting. I just hate for oct and even some of sept are still waiting. While a case from CSC NOA1 was early August and got approved four days after. How on earth can this be fair? I really don't know. I'll keep you in my prayers. I was stuck at TSC for 258 days and it wasn't easy. I know how it feels, believe me. Keep us posted. Good luck

I agree with you. It is worth a shot. Anything at this point is worth trying. You can also try to email TSC directly to know the whereabouts of your case. I emailed them 2 days ago. I have not heard anything yet but you never know.

Thank you guys for your encouragement, support and ideas on what to do :-)

I will let you know if anything interesting happens.

Right now I am on vacation with a friend (not my fiance, he has to work lol), so trying to ignore it, have fun and leave him to doing something.

He has contacted al congresspeople and senators, but only one of them writes back regularly. I asked him to please keep calling them.

The thing is USCIS now says we are in background checks, so until we are back on a table not much can be done I am afraid :-(

I just dont get the backgroundcheck thing - both of us have uncommon names, no criminal record and they have approved me for multiple visas before. It is not like I am not in their computers already!

Oh well, it has to happen eventually, right?

All the best to all of you as well - may all of us have uncomplicated, straight forward, timely experiences from now on :-)

my RFE was delivered back to them at 8:35 this morning...hopefully it doesn't take them too long...

To others that sent in RFEs: When did the the website acknowledge that they received it? Mine's still just mentioning that they mailed it.

I mailed mine in on the 20th of July, and on the 23 received an email that stated it was received, and that they would begin working on my case again. On Aug 7 I got an email with the Approval.. Followed by a notice in the mail. It all went much faster than I expected. I was surprised as all the reading I had done, had me expecting it to take at least 30 days.

Mine was delivered at 6 AM (really weird) and by the same night the status changed to RFE received. I was hoping to get approved under a week or two but who know how much longer the wait will be. Am slowly losing my hope in this process ?

Don't lose hope. The journey may be hard but we all know the destination is worth it. Keep the faith. I will be sure to keep you in my prayers. You don't have to wait much longer. I believe it.

guys, we got approved!

10 mnths and two days from NOA1. No RFE.

They relized they had his name wrong. it was just totally weird because to us it didnt look wrong on the NOA1, it had the same format as mine, but they say it was. Then they fixed it and then they approved us.
