ugh....RFE today....there was SOOOO much evidence included...no idea what they could possibly want...

Whenever you get the actual RFE in the mail, and you know exactly what is needed in addition, try to send back right away... you should actually get a pretty quick response (within 2 weeks) with their descision. I was very surprised it came back so soon.

256 days and counting  Is there anything that I can do??

Same here!! 254 days if I'm counting it right. They should update their website by the 15th and I'm guessing by that time I would be out of the normal processing time.

I thought so too, but they updated the dates today and the dates fo I-129F still did not change, -_- so at this point am really not expecting it to change and for us to be outside of normal processing time until maybe September :(

That's got to be a mistake right? Have they ever not moved the date before? How would they even explain that? That's really terrible...

if it goes like the last few months they will maybe update it with actual new data for K1s in a few days.

It is a pattern - they update the page, but not the K1 data (maybe others not as well, but I am not paying attention to them, because I dont care lol) - then a few days later they update again and the date that is relevant to us is being moved.

Being outside of processing time hasnt helped us a whole lot thought, I have to say - we are hitting 10 months tomorrow and none of our inquiries have even been assigned yet. This is just a big #### mess.

That's happened before. I remember exactly when, June 15 they were as of October 8th,then they did an update on July 2nd and it was still as of October 8th. Called up the USCIS, was told it is because of case volumes received that day. At that time, I was already frustrated not having received my NOA2 and no response to my inquiry, that I reached out to the Ombudsperson of the DHS. I didn't receive a response (it takes 45 days to get a response according to their website), but since then received my NOA2. It has been a painful experience, and I know what everyone is going thru. But with everyone's continued support I was able to get thru it. Let's work to keep each other's spirits up and not give up on the dream.

04/01/2013 - Met online

07/13/2013 - Met in person in Paris, traveled together throughout Europe for 3 weeks - France, Brussels, Italy

10/13/2013 - Celebrated my Anna's birthday together in Prague

01/26/2014 - Met her family for the first time, then traveled together to Zermatt, Switzerland

05/26/2014 - Proposed to her during my visit over Memorial Day Weekend

07/14/2014 - Traveled with me on a business trip to Dublin, Ireland

08/26/2014 - Spent 2 weeks together in Riga, Latvia

11/18/2014 - Filed I-129F and received NOA1 from the USCIS

12/31/2014 - Spent the New Year in St. Petersburg, Russia

02/14/2015 - Spent Valentine's Day together in Zell Am See, Austria

05/26/2015 - Visited her over the Memorial Day Weekend

07/03/2015 - Surprise visit over the 4th of July weekend

07/28/2015 - Received e-mail and text notification that I-129F has been approved

12/28/2015 - Visa Interview in Warsaw, Poland

05/21/2016 - Arrived in the US

06/12/2016 - Got married!!!

This process has taken all feelings out of me.God knows why they are doing this to us and the worst thing is all they keep saying is "please wait" like seriously??!!!

Sadly this is not the first time the dates for I-129F have not been updated, it may not be the only one, but like Mena said , I don't really care about the other ones lol

It may be nothing major. I received my RFE last week and it was all because apparently I did not answer the criminal history (yes or no question) I got it 5 days later in the mail, answered the question and set it back the very next day. At least now you know that they've been looking at your file :) Good luck

same exact question for us...will get this back in the mail tomorrow...

I wouldn't even bother to contact ombudsman office. Been there and done it. Been told to wait for another 2 months when I signed a released form to them. A week after my approval, they sent me an email saying that my case has been approved and my file will be closed at their office. Just my experience. Good luck.

Yeah, that kind of sounds like being able to submit inquiries after being out of processing time - totally useless and they ignore it anyways. However, since we are at 10 months today and I am slowly loosing my mind/ patience/ you name it with this process I am a firm believer in the try-anything-to-do-something-so-as-not-to-loose-my-mind-completely method of approaching this.

Try waiting for 300+ days without any info on what in the world is going on. Believe me, it is considerable harder than waiting 8-9 months. At least in that range you are not feeling so alone, because you still have the company of other filers who are in the same boat ;-)

The active filers waiting a similarly long time were a June filer who waited 11 months for NOA2 and got no outright approval at the embassy stage and a September filer who waited 323 days for NOA2 and is currently waiting to GET to the embassy stage. 2.5 more weeks for us to match that.

So even though you are probably right we´ll give it a shot anyways... :-)

Thank you!

I dont know.

But I am going with do-something-to-not-go-totally-crazy. 305 days in with no info are a few too many :-( I never thought we´d cross 300 days. It is awful.
