It shouldn't take long for the senators office to get an answer from USCIS. It's probably the community outreach coordinator who is dealing with it.

They have a congressional email address they use to contact USCIS as well as phoneline. We went to speak to the COC and he rang USCIS while we were sat in his office and he spoke to them about our case.

That's some good information. I wonder if that's for all states or offices? (I only contacted my Senator's office). Did you get an update on your case or did the COC just get the same update as we do? Did they call the TSC directly?

I imagine it's the same for all states. I say just look up all congressional contacts and get in touch with all of them until you find one who cares.

Our COC did speak to TSC directly and got updates on our case, it also means you don't have to call them yourself and try to get a tier 2.

Out of curiosity, what update did the TSC give?

Hope she doesn't bill you for the time she called them, especially since you've gotten that response before, and from various sources.

I don't think so. She came out from the blue and emailed me today. I'm totally pissed. I emailed her back and said that current processing time is nov 10th and I still believe that I'm way outside of the normal processing time and it's not fair. She replied and told me that if nov 10th is their current processing time then how can I be out of it? I didn't even want to talk to her.

So I reached to my Senator's office again this week. I was able to speak to the lady handling my case, I told her that I submitted my request to their office on the 11th of June, and reminded her that when we spoke the first time, she advised me that my request was sent by their office and then received by the TSC on the 23rd. I told her that it is now the 22nd and wanted to know if they have responded. She said that no response has yet been received and she will send out a second request. Interestingly enough, the 2nd request she said would be routed to the supervisor and that we should receive a response fairly quickly (she asked me to call them back by Tuesday next week). This wait is unbearable and completely unfair. I also called the USCIS number and asked about any updates to my case inquiry. I was told no updates yet. I saw last week that my case was assigned to an agent for a response on the 14th. Looking now at the TSC website, it says on the 20th, my inquiry was assigned to an officer for a response???? What does that mean? How could the dates shift like that? I should've taken a screenshot when I saw the first assignment notification on the 14th to compare if it did say agent and then now an officer (I'm not entirely sure if the title of the person to whom my case was assigned was higher or the same - agent vs officer). Either case, how could this happen? If on the 14th, it was assigned to an agent, and was told that 15-30 days I should receive a response, with a new assignment date of the 20th, does that now mean I have to wait 15-30 days from the 20th? This is just not fair!!! Where is the transparency? The Case History does not indicate the first notification dated the 14th, it simply vanished and now just says that it was assigned on the 20th?!?! How is this fair!!!??? True case history should show the original notification of assignment on the 14th, and ALSO the assignment on the 20th!!! Otherwise, the USCIS is just simply fudging the numbers and shifting dates to give themselves the excuse that they are within their guidelines of providing a response 15-30 days! :protest::ranting:

BTW, in light of this recent discovery, I now took a screenshot of the USCIS webpage that shows the case history and the last update, so if I don't yet receive a response and I see the dates shift again next week, I have proof that there is some fudging going on and bring it to whoever's attention to make sure that whoever is responsible shall be held accountable.

Hey guys - random question: we are now out of regular processing and just tried to make an appointment for infopass, since inquiries and senators have not yielded an answer and after 280 days we felt we should really get one! But it says they dont have available appointments at the office in my area, so they wont even let me schedule one like a month from now or whatever. Have any of you run into this before? How often did you retry until they had an opening?

For infoPass, are we limited to setting up an appointment at the local office? I ask only because, I see you are in MA. I tried looking at the NYC office to get an idea of availability and saw they have openings on the 23rd of July (tomorrow) and the 6th of August.

Hi :) Have you tried following up with senators? (not that it would work, but you never know) what about inquiries on the USCIS site? I would just walk in an early morning and see if they will talk to you, you never know. I am not familiar with the infopass but I think the opening are rare and not really quick.

wow...i just got off the phone with, by far, the worst tier 2 person i've ever spoken with (very rude, quiet, hard to understand)....i've had 2 inquires at this point be completely ignored (filed June 11th, email & July 2nd, by a Tier 2 agent)...was told to call back on the 22nd if nothing...called back today and was told that they still can't do anything...what is the point in these inquires if they mean absolutely nothing? this is BEYOND ridiculous....

Have you considered setting up an InfoPass appointment? Clearly you are beyond the 45 days and should be able to. I know that availabilities are difficult to find in offices that we want, but perhaps going to a neighboring state may give you better luck. I had set mine up in NY, but since I know I will be in a different state for work next week, checking the availability of appointments in that states office seems like I might be able to snag something earlier. I have read mixed reviews of infoPass appointments, but at this point if I am able to get a response to my query, it may be worth it.
