I have not officially received notice yet, but checked my status on USCIS website, and it now has posted that my case has been suspended. No one can tell me why.. I just have to wait for the actual notice to come in. I am in tears... this is the worst ever. I cant believe they think it's okay to "suspend" peoples lives like this... this is real life... real emotions, real feelings... I waiting over 7 months to be told they need more info... and then will not even tell me what is needed... and oh, the notice can take up to two weeks to be received.. and if not, request another by mail... How can you possibly make any wedding plans like this!!!!????????? Does anybody from USCIS see the seriousness in this???? :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:

Sadly, USCIS doesn't care :(

RFE's in the past have typically taken under a week from electronic notification to receiving the hard copy in the mail. Hopefully it won't take too long for yours to arrive. Is there anything you can think of that they might want? Go through your forms again and see if you can spot anything so you can try to prepare while you wait and get it sent off as soon as possible.

Yeah, planning a wedding is a challenge, to put it mildly. None of my family members were able to attend due to the constant changes right up to the last minute. We had to have our date changed with our venue and the vendors three times!

I know how you feel. But atleast someone's working on your case. Look at us here, nothing, nothing at all and I'm days to my 8 months at TSC.

I went thru the forms and didnt see any thing. but maybe it's something i dont realize. However, as soon as I receive the notice in the mail, I want to work on it immediately. Thanks for your response, and I hate your family was not able to attend. I am afraid that is going to be our situation too. I live in the US but across the country from where I was raised. My family are all in diff states. My family does not live in his home country, where most of his family lives... it may just be the two of us and a judge... This forum really really helps in coping with the situation knowing it's not just us.... Thanks again!

I am so sorry to hear that also. Oh, i know the feeling... it's sad. Maybe you will be fortunate and get an Approval first try! That would be nice for you!! =)

We recently got a RFE, too and it took exactly 7 days for the notice to arrive.

In our case they wanted more evidence for the 2-year-meeting-requirement. They mostly asked for the same things we had already filed with the petition but also some other things like written statements from friends/family. That was about one week ago. We're still gathering all the stuff and waiting for people to write the statements...you cannot force anyone to work faster it seems - neither USCIS clerks nor friends, haha.

And yeah, we also had to postpone our wedding... when we filed the petition September still seemed so far away and now..ha!

Whatever, we're trying to see it positively - at least it's not gonna be that hot on our wedding day ;-)

This is my first post....my receipt date is Nov. 6. I contacted my Congressman a few weeks ago and they just received this response.

"USCIS records show this case is pending background checks. We are unable to determine at this time when the review process for the I-129F will be completed. USCIS will issue a decision on Ms. Moore once certain issues are resolved. We are striving to resolve these issues as soon as possible. We understand that Ms. Moore may be frustrated by the progress of this case. However, USCIS must balance individual inconvenience against broader issues of public safety and national security."

Anybody have this same thing and how long does it take?

They don't care what we're going thru obviously. And it's even worst cause it seems to me tsc is working on jan filers now. This whole thing is just a joke.

After 8 months waiting, now they tell us that they need more proof of evidence. I wonder how long this gonna be till they start working on our case again. Its gonna be a long delay..
