Senators and Congressmen are not helpful and dont really care. SO sad that we pay our money and vote for people and when we need them they do nothing for us. We are unfortunately at their mercy. I can't wait until I am completely done with all of this ####### as soon as possible my fiance will apply for citizenship. The less I have to deal with these fools in my personal life the better.

Lol at least they called!! I haven't heard anything in two weeks since they let me know my privacy form fax came in crystal clear. Rubio's office lost it so I had to send another on Monday and they said someone would get back to me in 2-5 days

I contacted both Rubio and Nelsons office. Nelson didn't even read what I send and sent me back a canned response with a print out of the processing times which had nothing to do with why I had contacted him. Rubios office lost my authorization form 3 times but seem to have it in a safe place now, they take a lot of follow up but now that I have been on them and emailing the casestatus email once a week they seem to be more on it, my last response was about 2 weeks ago when they submitted an inquiry and said it can take 4 to 6 weeks to get a response back, and yes to just keep on my schedule I have sent follow up emails just to make sure they dont forget about me or lose something again. I know people have mixes emotions on what a Congressman can do to help, Im not holding out hope that they will be able to help speed up an approval I just want them to address the specific issue I had when contacting the USCIS and how badly it was handled.

Lol I KNEW they didn't lose it. What a crock of ######.

Politically Rubio has more reason to follow up since he is a Republican and has announced he is running for President so I gave up on Nelson and have focused my nagging on Rubios office and made a point to tell them that I used to call myself a Democrat but now that Im dealing with this process am leaning more toward voting Republican in the next election. I use this email when contacting him casework@rubio.senate.gov and Gladys seems to be the person who handles immigration issues for him the number for the office she works in is (305) 418-8553.

I had the exact same thought about Rubio. Thank you for the contact info! I'm going to wait until the end of the week and then contact them Monday if I haven't heard anything.

They sometimes take a few days to respond to emails so if thats your method of contact and your as impatient as I am you might want to send it now lol.

Oddly Nelson always follows up and Rubio for me? Nada, zip, crickets......

Maybe Rubio knows I'll never come to the dark side.

Hey y'all, I'm new here but I've been following the forums for quite a while.

I'm slighly getting crazy!

Reading through this forum and seeing that some people get their K1 super fast makes me nervous that we made sth wrong or...I don't know.

We got the NOA1 on Nov 26th 2014 and nothing has happened since then. I keep on checking My Case Status on the USCIS site daily. ####### are they doing there?

We've planned our wedding for September 12th but I'm afraid we won't make it on time...

Has anyone ever called the Service Center to ask what's going on? I read that after 5 months you can...

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Short history of ours:

- Nathan & I met during his exchange year here in Germany in 1998... he was 18, I was 16

- instantly fell in love but after he had to go back we split up - we were way to young to keep up a long distance relationship like that

- we kept contact over the years - as good friends - knowing we would always have a place in our hearts for eachother but life had to go on...

- we met again in 2008 and ZOOM fell in love again - it was inevitable. unfortunately we both had been with other partners at that moment...I was actually married...difficult situation

- took me 5 more years to finally find the guts & break free

- booked a flight and stayed with Nathan for a whole month (longest my former employer would ever let me) in October 2013... and again instantly knew that it was right - he's the love of my life and that's my home!

- late summer 2014 quit my job to spend as much time with him as possible - 90 days there, 90 days here

- got divorced in October 2014 and we could file the petition for the K-1 visa after I got the decree

- now I'm back in Germany since May 22. again and all that waiting makes me crazy. I just wanna go back home

You haven't done anything wrong. Their processing is all over the place these days.

As of right now, they are officially processing cases submitted on/before September 18th, so calling them won't do any good, they'll just give you the usual spiel about waiting.

I know waiting sucks, but you should hear something within the next 2 months.
