I saw something about USCIS updating their system so it might be that there are approvals but they're not showing up yet. I think this has happened before.

I'm hoping that's the case.

that happened the other week we got approved april 3rd and we didn't get an update until i think it was the morning of the 8th

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to ask what the go is with travelling on a tourist visa for a visit while waiting for the k1?

It's obviously possible since people have been back and forth visiting each other I just didn't know like if you have to be in your own country when it's approved or if there are any rules or whatever?

Any info will be helpful

Getting a new tourist visa is nigh on impossible with a pending K1.

Traveling with an existing tourist visa is no problem, neither is traveling with ESTA - I believe Australia is an ESTA country.

I have one that expires in June next year so I guess that parts fine. But I don't have to be in Aus when the visa expires do I? Like do they question it much if one is pending ?

Not in my experience, no - I have made a bunch of short trips and was never asked anything.

my fiance called NVC 2 days ago and they gave us ID #, when we check it, our case status was 'At NVC'. And today our case status is 'In Transit'. what is 'in transit' means?

It means the case is being shipped to Indonesia. Congrats. You are pretty far ahead into the process.

I forgot mention that it also said 'Your interview date was provided to you by the NVC'. How can we find out the Interview date? I thought we can schedule the interview date ourselves?

Hmm.. we should be able to schedule it ourselves, but if you already have a date then that's great! go ahead and book the medical

That is standard wording, though the majority of the countries have the applicant schedule their own interviews. Enquire with your embassy.
