hey guys! hope your all doing well :) this forum went super quiet so thought id pop along see how its going with everyone

has anyone else planned any trips for seeing each other soon?

looks like texas has sped up a bit going through august tho! so fingers crossed they do the same for september, then maybe a few of us can slip through soon! :dancing:

Thank you for this thread! While its lovely to see all CSC people getting approved, its a bit annoying to know we'll be waiting for our NOA2 around April-May unless some miracle happens! -1 month dow

Hi Everyone!

I'm new to this thread....I have been following the November K-1 filers since I sent in my application, but ignored it since I got so many notifications every day. Anyways, in the same boat as everyone here, waiting on our NOA2!

March 2014: met while I was on a study abroad trip in Ecuador & kept in contact with each other after I left


August 2014: visit to Ecuador


November 12 2014: sent I-129f


November 17 2014: I-129f received (Texas Service Center)


November 20 2014: received electronic NOA1


November 24 2014: received hard copy NOA1 in mail


December 2014: visited Ecuador again...officially engaged on 12/12/14!


March 2015: visit to Ecuador for Spring Break


June 10, 2015: NOA2 text/email notification

No trips planned yet, but I'm hoping MAYBE around May after school but I really do hope Texas goes faster, however, I'm not getting my hopes up... Sucks but look like we're looking at 2-3 more months ugh

  • Medical: 07/21/2015 (No Appointment needed for Medical Exam: You will need to have the Visa Fee Payment Confirmation Page (Showing Scheduled Interview Date), or Package 3 for K-1 Visa, Passport ,and Exam Fee)
  • Interview Date: 08/25/2015 @7AM "Your fiancé will need the following items": Appointment Letter, (2) Passport Photos, DS-160 Confirmation Page, Receipt from Sogexpress showing payment of visa fees, Original Copy of Extrait d'Acte de Naissance-Extract of Certificate of Birth (No Translation Needed for interview), Police Certificate (from the Dominican Republic no translation needed), (2) Passport Bio Page, Sealed Medical Exam with Vaccinations/CD and Divorce Decree from both Petitioner and Beneficiary . (Didn't ask for any additional information during the interview like: I-134, Letter of Employment, Tax Returns, Pay Stubs, Photos, and/or Trip Itineraries)

SINCE THE BEGINNING OF 2015 THE CONSULATE IN HAITI STOPPED USING HAITI MESSENGER; THEY NOW USE DHL INTERNATIONAL THERE ARE (4) LOCATIONS: PORT-AU-PRINCE, CARREFOUR, PETION-VILLE, AND CAP-HAITIEN. THE ADDRESS AND HOURS OF OPERATION ARE LOCATED IN MY PROFILE ABOUT ME.

  •  We stayed 6 days at the Kemael Hotel Tabarre 58, Rue C. Sylvain #4 Tabarre Haiti $80.00USD per night. It is off Boulevard 15 Octobre
  •  Or you can stay at the Le Monte Cristo Hotel & Suites Tabarre 60, Boulevard 15 Octobre, Tabarre Haiti $90.00USD per night.

  • Received NO1 For All Three for I-485, I-765, and I-131 by Mail on March 28, 2016 @4pm
  • Received Biometrics Appointment Date on April 19, 2016 Memphis, TN: Date of Notice April 2,2016; Mailed April 6, 2016: Received Appointment Letter April 10, 2016.
  • Biometrics Appointment 15 minutes and done.
  • Received Text/Email:EAD/AP Approved May 11, 2016
  • Received Approval NO2 for I-765, and I-131 in Mail on May 16, 2016
  • Received EAD/AP Combo Card in Mail on May 18, 2016
  • Received Text/Email: RFE for I-485 on August 31, 2016 we have to respond by September 30,2016
  • Placed on Request online for RFE hardcopy to be sent by mail on September 14, 2016
  • As of October 4, 2016 Still waiting for RFE hardcopy to come in the mail, called USCIS on September 30, 2016 no help.
  • As of November 3, 2016 We received an email in regards to not receiving in the mail the Request for Evidence (RFE) , come to find out they really didn't need any additional information. So now the have to wait another 120 more days before we can get an interview or approval. This is some BS.
  • As of February 7, 2017, We received in the mail Interview Date for AOS on March 20, 2017

Hey everyone! Just saw someone with the same NOA1 date as me (11/10) received an RFE today. That gives me hope!!!!!

Any indication of who? 11/10 is just over 5 months, I wonder if they got a successful expedite?

K1 Timeline

November 21st 2013 - First Met

November 18th 2014 - I-129f Submitted

November 24th 2014 - NOA 1

May 22nd 2015 - NOA 2 - no RFE!

June 4th 2015 - Case Sent to NVC

June 6th 2015 - NVC receives case

June 15th 2015 - Case Sent to Embassy

June 16th 2015 - Phoned NVC and finally got case number (tried 12th June and had not been assigned)

June 16th 2015 - Medical booked

June 21st 2015 - Sent Packet "3" - DS 160 and readiness

June 25th 2015 - Embassy sends letter in receipt of receiving case

June 30th 2015 - Medical

July 28th 2015 - Interview - Approved!

August 3rd 2015 - Email request to collect from courier office (Went straight from "Ready" to "Issued" did not see AP in CEAC)

August 4th 2015 - Collected packet from Chancery Lane Courier Office

August 7th 2015 - Arrived in Houston and end of K1 journey :)

Adjustment of Status Timeline

August 10th 2015 - Applied for SSN, obtained SSN number next day

August 15th 2015 - SSN card arrived

August 20th 2015 - Married! :)

August 24th 2015 - sent packet to USCIS via FedEx [AOS, AP & EAD]

August 26th 2015 - packet received at USCIS

August 28th 2015 - NOA 1 for all three applications

Thank you very much! I will continue to pray for everyone because I know how difficult and draining this process is. Don't have a clue how they work at TSC. We were expecting to maybe hear something at the end of May. But I'm truly thankful right now.
