Hi everyone,

so today I received an email from the NVC directed to our lawyer in the states. It has the invoices for the AOS and the IV.

they are asking for some docs also and I have a couple of questions regarding this matter.

  • me and my wife who is an AC are living in Germany and our consulate is selected as Frankfurt, we have some German documents as proof of relationship, should they be translated?
  • we submitted some docs to proof the relationship to the USCIS, are they sent to the NVC or we should resubmit them?
  • We have a joint bank account, joint insurance, city hall registration papers with both our names on it, our marriage certificate, some pictures from Dubai, Jordan, Germany, etc, some family wedding party pictures, would this be enough?
  • for the proof of US Status, we signed a binding bid on a house in the states, my wife has her American passport, (she has a bank account in the US but forgot the account number), I have a job offer in the states, she has her pet (a beautiful cat) in the states, and we bought him some stuff on ebay and shipped it to the US address, our residency in Germany expires on Feb 28th, 2015. (would this be an enough proof of US domicile?)
  • my wife does not work and have never worked, she is a student, but we have a joint sponsor, who lives in Texas, he is a lawful permanent resident, and his income is about $70K, he is married and have a child, would this be enough to sponsor me as an immigrant? We also have our shared bank account but it has money in Euro, how would we use this as an asset?
  • the police certificate from Germany, should be translated to English? (does anyone from Germany know if they issue them in English?)
  • what else should I include? did I forget anything?

so my lawyer is supposed to pay the fees today for the IV and the AOS, wish us luck folks :)

thanks a lot!

Best regards
