Thanks a lot. I will update very soon. We have just started with K1 visa. We will be needing your help. Thanks for your cooperation.

You may have already looked in the Guides section (top of this page on the Blue line).... There are 3 titles which will give you lots of helpful information and are good to use as a checklist so that you get it right first time and know what it is they are looking for.

They are the K1 Guide, Flowchart and Tips.

The main points you need to cover for your initial application are that you have met within the 2 years prior to applying. You may have known each other for several years in other words but all they are interested in is that you have met within the previous 2 years and have evidence of that meeting. Primary evidence is usually passport stamps, boarding passes of whoever travelled, receipts (dated) such as hotel bills, photos together at a location that matches these other papers, however photos are not considered primary evidence. You dont need bundles of evidence, but it has to be clear and showing you were in the same place at the same time.

Later on for the interview after visa approval you will need to provide evidence of ongoing relationship, so its good to keep any documentation of additional visits etc, copies of your communications, any cards, letters, receipts etc for that interview stage. All the best...

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number

Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere, and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .
