Oh yeah.

The woman asked how we met, what attracted us to each other, what does our parents feel about the marriage, if I had a child from my previous marriage, statement of accounts and utilities etc.

Just try to be as free as possible. I was abit scared at first and I must say I almost missed it, the interviewer excused herself to make copies of the documents we brought and my wife boosted my morale, by the interviewer came back I was as free as a bird, my wife and I started talking about a lot of things, even things she didn't ask for. She then saw that our marriage was real and even after she told us we were approved, we kept talking. We talked about the baby we are expecting, how my mother in law is excited, everything. Just be free.

Hello,

RFE: 01/8/2015

Case updated: 4/15/2015 (scheduled for interview)

To all my december filers, dont be discouraged because it is taking a bit longer (escpecially for chicago) for them to get to your case.

Thanks

It is going to be 4 months since my application for permanent residency I-485 filed at the same time with I-130 as Us citizen spouse was introduced. On January 20st my I-485 changed to 'ready to be schedule for an interview' on Monday it will be 3 months since the case reached that stage. I already received my EAD about a month ago.

So question, is it time for the ombudsman, infopass appointment, second level phone customer service etc. ? The last time I called based on my office's (OKLAHOMA CITY) estimated processing times, the customer service woman had the guts to tell me it would probably be a YEAR for my application to be process, that is ridiculous!

That's that, good luck to you all, you're great folks!

I was told something similar that it would be around 8 months for my application to be processed and a week later i had my interview date of May 18th. So just hang in there. Those customer service reps can only answer based on the processing times which from my understanding is a little behind. Good Luck!!!

Hi there,

Just a quick question to find out what's going on.

Here is my timeline:

AOS from K1 visa
AOS received Dec 27th 2014 (no RFE)

Biometrics was on 1/20/15

Already received EAD and AP in early March 2015

It's been about 1.5 months since I received EAD/AP and haven't received any interview letter or waiver letter yet. :clock:
I just find that a bit odd since most people on VJ seem to get their interviews within 3-4 months of filing.
I am wondering if anyone on VJ from NYC area is in the same situation when adjusting from a K1 visa.

Thanks!

AOS Timeline

Adjusting from a K1 visa

NOA - December 27, 2014

Biometrics - January 20, 2015

EAD/AP - March 9, 2015

NPIW - April 20, 2015

GC being produced August 1,2015

Hi there.

I filed I-130, I-485, I- 765 on Dec 2014 in Atlanta GA.

USCIS received files on Dec 19 2914.

I did the Biometrics on Jan 20 2015.

Received EAD on Mar 9 2015.

But no updates from the USCIS about my I-485 since Dec 19 2014. The status is "Case was received"!!! It has been 3 months since the date I did the Biometrics....

Is there anybody filed in Atlanta in the similar situation?

Thanks!
