I am in the same boat as you littleitaly, though my update is supposed to come by March 28th, but yet to hear or receive anything. It is annoying thinking about it all the time and saying, "Maybe today will be the day?" every day.

I am grateful however that I have received my EAD/AP combo card and am starting a job on Monday. Will be nice to be earning some money, finally.

congrats on the new job! I am in a bit of different situation. I am currently on H1B, but planning to quit my job soon to go back to School for my MBA, so I am waiting to see when they will schedule my interview as really want to go back home to spend some time with my family before school starts in July.

I was trying to schedule an info pass at our local office, and they close on Fridays--today!! means they wont even update my case today till Sunday. I am planning to go in next Monday....

did you also get a RFE?

Thanks!

I did get an RFE and they received my updated paperwork on January 27th. I haven't contacted anyone yet as I was expecting something to come through by today, since the 28th is a Saturday. Fingers crossed we both hear something asap!

The weekend has come and gone and I have heard absolutely nothing. Not a letter in the mail, not a text message, or an email. Really disappointed as I thought the fact that they mentioned a date something would be done. Not sure where to go from here, other than keep waiting.

Did you happen to hear anything?

I just looked at the e-request website and if you have submitted your application within the last six months, you are unable to submit an e-request. And since we filed in December, we are only half way until we can submit a request so long as we do not hear anything. This is annoying!

I didn't hear anything. I called USCIS customer service on Friday, and they say if I dont hear anything by Sunday, I can request a service request on Monday, but I am going to the local uscis office tomorrow morning. believe it's easier to talk in person.

Part about 6 months of waiting ! Did you see how many people who got potential interview waiver letter still waiting ? Way over 6 months, 8, 9, 10 months even ! That is why I said to Littleitaly not to be nervous if they didint get back to when they supposed to . They said until Murch 29. You cant rely on that, you just can hope for that. I always hope for the best, but I need to be realistic too :)) Edited by Bee2015

I got the potential interview waiver letter about 2 weeks ago.... Instead of being happy I was angry because I know it really doesn't mean anything :( My field office is processing June 2014 cases...

Philippians 4: 6-7. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

My wife had her I-485 interview today and everything went smoothly. We showed up, waited for an hour, and then the officer called out her name. Interestingly, he asked her to come in alone first. After about 15 minutes he came to get me. He was smiling, very nice guy. He asked my wife the questions below first, and when I got there (she didn't have to leave the room) he asked me the same:

- How did you guys meet? Where? What date? Who introduced you?

- Who cooks typically?

- Where do you put your dirty laundry?

- Where have you traveled together?

- Where do you live?

- How many bedrooms do you have?

- How many bathrooms do you have?

- Do you or your wife have tattoos?

- Do you go to church?

- What did you give eachother for your last birthday?

- Who was present at the birthday?

- What time do you get home from work?

- Do you have any pets?

- Do you have any children?

- Have you been married before?

- Who lives in your house?

- When did you start to talk about getting married?

Nothing complicated, there was no need to prepare, just the standard things that legitimately married people would know about eachother. He then went through her application, asked the yes/no questions again, took the additional documents we brought to prove marriage legitimacy (new joint bills, car leases, etc), browsed through our photos, and told us that our case was approvable, and that USCIS believes that our marriage is legitimate. He said we should get my wife's green card in 2 to 3 weeks. He didn't take any of the original copies of the evidence we had submitted previously, or the certified marriage certificate, or our birth certificates.

About an hour ago, we got the text/email updates saying that her new card is being produced! So it looks like everything is squared away.

Good luck everyone!!!
