No Indictment for New York Police

The whole event is troubling, but don't think the officer willfully caused his death. The man was clearly resisting arrest and taking him down in a choke hold is approved procedure for a combative person of that size. The autopsy proved the choke hold did not kill him. It was heart disease.

The tow parts that trouble me

Was an arrest even necessary in this case.?

Also the lack of response once it was apparent this man was having a medical emergency ( this part troubles me the most)

They way the cops treated him was unreasonable. It's not just blacks who get treated this way, it happens regularly. This part of law enforcement needs to change.

I stand corrected. I already said I found it troubling. After further review of the evidence I concur. He should have been indicted and a Jury should have heard the evidence in a public forum

My uneducated guess is that it probably has happened a couple of times over a period of several years. So race has nothing to do with it. Resisting an officer was not the intelligent thing to do.
