What were you doing when you were approved? Our most hilarious responses

I've read some hilarious accounts of what happened when people were approved.

I was listening mindlessly to an audiobook while driving on the highway when I got my text message.Mind you I had just complained to my fiance a mere two hours earlier about the unscrupulously evil TSC and our petition. At first I didn't know who it was. As my car started reading of the phone number realized it might be USCIS. I went from a look of skepticism to that of sheer determination as I cut across two lanes of traffic (terrible, I know) so that I could "safely" read the text message - which was the approval - and the email that we had been approved.

What were you doing when you were approved?

I was on my way back from lunch, walking through a hospital when my husband called me. He told me he called to see if they received everything back from our checklist and they said "actually yes, and it looks like your case is complete". So we found out that way rather than a text/email.

I tried walking back to my office as fast as I could trying not to break out in tears. I could barely talk. It was such a great day :)

OH is currently visiting... Woke up to him staring at his phone in shock and he wouldn't tell me why. Turns out he wasn't sure if it was an approval or an RFE, and didn't want to say it was an approval incase he had gotten it wrong :P I literally had to prize the phone out of his hands and then leapt about the room whooping!

I was thoroughly exhausted from a week of job interviews and after having requested an expedite 3 times, I had finally given up and just left it to God. Then this random text!! I literally started dancing around the room and suddenly I wasn't exhausted anymore. Of course it was like 4am in Libya, so I couldn't even tell my fiance (well I sent him about 50 messages by every means possible)....then he woke up half asleep and saw it but barely understood why I was freaking out.....and I was asleep! But I told his friend also who has been helping us in Libya, and his friend called him and woke him up and told him what had happened....so then he sent me about 50 messages....finally we were both awake and could talk on the phone and be happy together :)
