Renewal of passport

my passport will expires October 4, 2015. No ongoing process after receiving hardcopy of NOA2, still waiting for NVC reply. Should I renew my passport now while waiting? Please help

I would wait until everything is done. When you go to the embassy you need a passport that is valid 6 month from the date you go to the embassy. I am planning on not changing mine because I am planning to change my last name after we get married so I don't want to spend about $50 dollar now and then $50 again in hopefully just a few months.

That's what I am thinking too.. It'll be more spending ... My fiancé told me to wait till end of January and see from there..

Hey!

My passport will expire on Oct 26th next year! I'm still waiting for update from USCIS and currently under RFE now. :/ I was thinking of changing my passport here in KL, Malaysia after getting NOA2 because I thought that is easier than going to Japan embassy in US (I think nearest will be Chicago?) will be hard. I will be moving to Moorhead, Minnesota. I am not sure if this is better or just wait till after Fiance visa application is completed, i.e. visa on hand. >n<

I am thinking of changing my last name in the passport too after getting married.
