my wife (the petitioner) was born in Philippines and became a U.S. citizen later on, the I-130 is asking the naturalization number but unfortunately she don't know where here certificate is. Beside send the form N-565 to replace the certificate is there another option to find just the number??

I don't think so. She'll need her certificate because later on, she has to submit a copy of it as well.

Nope.. she just need to submit her US passport copy.. but definitely the number is needed to complete I-130

yes I did some research I actually need just the number...but is there anyway to find the number beside the N-565 form? which actually will cost $345 and it will make me wait quiet while to send all those documents

Strange because I had called nvc to ask if I could send in a copy of the passport and I was told to send in the certificate copy instead. I swear these people at NVC are not trained properly.

oh boy...

Did you get a checklist for that ? ... when you file I-130 it just ask you to provide copy of one of the following to prove your citizenship.. Passport, Certificate or birth certificate.

The OP is NOT talking about the NVC, but the USCIS and the I-130.

I actually contacted a lawyer about it and he said or to try to make an appt trough "info pass" or when the naturalization number is asked to write unknown, although he told me that USCIS may send me a mail requesting the missing information.....this really put me down as if I send the N-565 to request a copy of it it will take several months! or I will take the chance to get postponed by USCIS request about it.....

The I-130 needs proof that the petitioner is a US citizen. This proof can be established by submitting a copy of every page of the US passport, cover pages included.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.
