Unable to contact NVC

Hi everyone,

I got my NOA2 on October 3, two months ago tomorrow. However, the entire process has been at a standstill for those 2 months because I have been unable to contact the NVC at all, so I can't find out the case number. I have emailed the NVC at every email address I can find (asknvc@state.gov, nvcinquiry@state.gov, and nvcresearch@state.gov) with the email text below and the USCIS receipt number in the subject.

Good afternoon,

I am writing to find out whether my NVC case number has been assigned yet. The USCIS receipt number is LIN-XX-XXX-XXXXX, and the petition was approved and sent to the NVC by the USCIS on October 3, 2014. The petitioner and beneficiary information is listed below.

Petitioner: Leslie XXXXX, DOB XX/XX/XXXX
Beneficiary: Pedro XXXXX, DOB XX/XX/XXXX

Please let me know the case number as soon as possible.

Thank you,

XXX

Am I doing something wrong? It is basically impossible to get a person on the phone at the NVC, so that's a dead end as well. Is anyone else in the same boat?

EDIT: Are you kidding me??! The universe must have known I was at my breaking point, because I got a response LITERALLY right after I posted this. I thought someone was trolling me. YAY PROGRESS! Keeping my fingers crossed for others in the same situation.

I was going to reply to you that everything with NVC is 60 days (8 weeks) so see right on target. Congratulations. Happy processing.

Honestly I know the calling sucks, but just redial until you get through. It's the fastest way to contact the NVC.
