Just got off the phone with AT&T Tech people because I had no internet connection (after just installing new technology yesterday). spend 2 hours on the phone and ended up with no internet connection and no cable., but an appointment for a tech guy to come out tomorrow 12-2pm.

So I decided after a wasted 2 hours and the prospect of 18 hours without internet or cable to just unplug the modem. Poof in under one minute I had internet, wireless and cable.

My ICU guy died today :( Expected but still sad. He fought it like a mother****er though. I've never seen someone hang on so long with labs that looked that bad.

I can't wait to be out of the hospital and back in my clinic where everything moves in slow motion and people walk in and walk out. Just one more week of this, alhamdulilah!

I stayed up late last night to spend some time with Maj so of course I was exhausted today. I wish we had more compatible schedules. But at least we get to sleep in the same bed.

Jean, I feel so bad for Moh on his sad bicycle in the snow :( Men (actually, people) can be so stubborn sometimes.

Jackie how's the foot????

Thanks for the thoughts.... Usually it's not so hard, but with this guy, I literally ran an ICU on the floor for 2 days straight, doing absolutely everything, from drawing blood to putting in IV lines to running to the pharmace and lab and setting up the IV poles and hanging the medications... so I just poured everything I had into keeping him alive, and it didn't work.

But he was really really sick and it was going to happen sooner or later. I'm glad he's found some kind of peace finally.

Sorry to hear that you lost your patient.

Anyone hear how Jackie's foot/ankle is? I can't remember seeing her post about it today.

Jackie!!!! How are you??

Allah tries his chosen people through many hardships, but those who persevere through adversity, surrendering themselves before the will of Allah, shall be blessed with a superb reward.

-The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reported by Anas bin Malik

A time will come when the sky is torn apart; when the stars scatter, and the ocean drains away; and when the graves are tossed about, and laid open. At that time every man will be told what he has done, and what he has failed to do; and every woman will be told what she has done, and what she has failed to do.

-Qur'an, Al-Infitar, Surah 82:1-5
