I never asked for sympathy. An NOA2 is a lot further along than an NOA1. As I mentioned earlier, would the OP like to trade places? Didn't think so.

Next.

So why are you posting on this thread whatsoever? You are contributing nothing at all. I don't get it. Come back to us when you've waited 8 months (and counting) for your application to get to NVC. I have a hunch that your wait will be shorter than rory and myself.

I have done that as well. They said it would arrive at the NVC within 2 weeks. It's been over 3 weeks now and still nothing. My congressman says that it still is at the USCIS. All of this info is complete garbage. What a great government we have. Our tax dollars are so well spent.

Uggh. I've put in 2 service requests. I'm supposed to have a reply to the 2nd by Friday. The first answer was pointless (which is why I put in the 2nd request). Reading about your experience makes me a little ill.

One suggestion for you: have you e-mailed CSC and complained? I did after my first service request answer and got an answer saying NVC should have my application in 10 days (it's been 7 so far). The e-mail address is csc-ncsc-followup@dhs.gov. Put your service request number in the subject heading.

This is what I wrote:

Today I received a reply to my service request that did not answer my request at all. It merely restated what was on my Notice of Approval on September 10th. I was already aware that my petition had been approved and supposedly had been sent to the National Visa Center (NVC).
As of today, November 20th, NVC still has not received my application from USCIS. If you could provide at least a little more information (such as what exact date my application was sent), it would be greatly appreciated. Also, an easy solution would be to re-send my approved application to NVC.
I have attached copies of both my Notice of Approval and the response to my service request.

You're just full of bad news for me! ;)

Crazy. I really had a hope NVC would get it by Friday (since that's what they promised), but clearly their promise means zip.

I am going to the USCIS office in Fairfax on Friday morning for an infopass appointment. I doubt it will be helpful, but figured might as well give it a shot.

There's only 3 reasons why I think the NVC has not processed our cases.

1. The case was lost

2. They have sent it to a wrong address.

3. NVC in fact has the our cases but has not been entered into their system.

I was told that the NVC receives our cases by the pallet (10,000 +) and it could take 3 months just to enter them.

OMG - so sorry this is happening. I was told the local offices are able to answer processing questions to, meaning how the system works. I noticed another VJ member found out their file was at the consulate even though NVC didn't update them. You may want to check with the embassy, if you haven't already (I didn't read the entire thread.)

Hope you get some good news! Good luck.

USCIS told Angela (whose NOA2 is around the same time) it was #2. From what I've read on here, that's what usually happens when we have this kind of delay.

Have you e-mailed the USCIS omsbudsman? If NVC doesn't have my file by Friday (as promised), I will do that next.

The email to the ombudsman is on my radar. Trouble is, the last IO to whom my fiance spoke said to wait until Dec. 19 before calling again. I'll be in Spokane on the 20th so we can call together. He'll have to leave the room once I get to talk to somebody because I'm a hell raiser.

I have not..What is an omsbudsman?

Someone who supposedly can help out:

http://www.dhs.gov/case-assistance

https://cisomb.dhs.gov/oca/form7001.aspx

If I had received as many useless replies to my service requests as you, I would definitely contact them at this point. The more fires you light, the more chances some action will be taken.

Ha, yeah. So it goes.

Question of the day: is the person from NVC that responded to your e-mails named Jess? She's the one that's replied to 3 of us. I'm starting to think she's the ONLY person at NVC that responds to e-mail inquiries.

Yes, we were approved September 18 and the NVC as of today has no record of our case. The USCIS will not give me a solid answer as to why it has not been sent. I keep getting the run around. Every time I call I get a different answer.

wow im hoping for the best for both of us as mine got approved on 0ct 23rd and nvc and uscis is telling me the exact same thing when I called what gives?
