Sure, here:

http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/first-read/president-barack-obama-acts-deportation-relief-millions-n252626

Basically if an illegal registers, they get a 3 year conditional pass in the USA (much like a K-1 spouse) as well as an EAD.

Well, that's not a Permanent Resident Card, formally known as "green card", and it will definitely not be free, big difference there. Just wanted to make sure there wasn't something I was missing.

So what happens three years down the line? Are they then deported? I don't think so. Either the "program" will be extended yet again, or they will get to adjust status.

After three more years they will be "taxpayers" and employees, parents and spouses. Do you think USCIS will kick them out then?

I'm really sorry you have to be waiting longer and I know it isn't fun to hear people going through TSC (I can relate) that remind you it could be worst but ... it could totally be worst.

It's going to be alright, if everything's good in yours & your fiance's file you'll be good & surprised at how fast this whole processes actually was. It took us a bit over 9months from the moment we sent our I-129F to me holding my passport with the K1visa and yet, I believe it was all okay. It could have been worst.

Keep your head up & your relationship strong (all this waiting is strengthening your relationship), plan all that can be planned, do online shopping lists, get your files ready, ... whatever it takes you to keep your mind off the waiting. Get ready for life together.. :)

So it's not gonna be easy.

It's going to be really hard;

we're gonna have to work at this everyday,

but I want to do that because I want you.

I want all of you, forever, everyday.

You and me.. everyday.

From all I have read about this recent illegal immigration reform, it is not allowing them to become citizens, only work in the USA. President Obama has, in not so many words, stated that it is not a path to citizenship.

Now whether that changes... who knows. It may even get shot down in the coming year by the Republicans.

were you given the option to speak French or how did the interview take place in English? I am worried because although my fiance and I have been together for 4 years she does not speak English well (we have only spoken in Spanish). Is there an option that asks if one speaks English in any document?

No, I couldn't choose.. he even corrected me on my english.

The check-list stated that my documents had to be in english or the language spoken in the country (for Belgium it was Dutch & French - maybe German too). I did not have to translate any documents.

I do think it could be possible to ask for the interview to be in the language of the country but that depends on the embassy and the person he will have to face.

69 days ... misdirected to National Research Center instead of National Visa Center, at least that's what the last Tier 2 IO told my fiance.

However, I'm choosing to not redirect my anger at people who are escaping abject poverty, rape, persecution, death and other violence. I have nothing but a pleasant life in Canada to escape from.

To those of you preaching patience and other malarkey - especially the tragic victims of TSC filing - kindly shove your heads in a dark place protected by a sphincter. When you've jumped through all the hoops, talked to five different IOs who each have a different story and still have no idea where your case is, you can talk to me about patience.

Oh but boohoo, your NOA-2 is taking a couple of months longer.

Although msbau764 comments seemed harsh, I can somewhat related. I don't think it was meant to be as negative as most on this thread think. To be honest. the USCIS is moving at lightning speed compared hat it used to. You are all very fortunate if you are recent participants to the process. My wife and I are a little past 13 months now since NAO1 and we are still waiting for the interview date to be set. USICS took six months, then the backlog fell on the NVC that's been taking another 5-6 months for most folks. So I cannot even begin to comprehend measuring wait times in DAYS.

I think folks that have been waiting a few weeks, or even a few months should take the time to read about what everyone is going through. What may seem like an eternity might be small potatoes compared to many of our brothers and sisters here that have been waiting a year or longer. So I can see a comment complaining about a few week wait might come off as insensitive to those who have had to wait much longer. K-1s are flying now compared to a year ago. And IR-1's are also moving along better. Folks need to be aware of how much better it is now and take solace in that.

Last point. I agree 100% with the OP about the illegals getting a free pass for 3 years. But with a twist. I really don't take issue with the illegals getting a path to work or greencard...but that has to come AFTER they fix the BROKEN legal system for immigration. It is a horrible injustice that families wait more than a year to be reunited legally when we pay our fees for everything and the delays are simply a result of mismanagement. Maybe that's what really has the OP upset. Everyone is so worked about the illegals while the legal process is in utter disarray and no one cares.

I am beyond livid! Our case was approved on September 18th 78 days ago. I have done everything and more that the NVC and USCIS has asked me to do. I even have my congressman involved and they can't even get an answer. But yet its ok for all of these ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS to just walk in here. Here we are sitting and waiting for our loved ones doing the RIGHT THING and all of these illegals just walk in here with not even a slap on the wrist. Is anyone else going through what we are going through????

You can thank the president for that!! There is no one else to blame. He has "executive powers" and he is using them. Just imagine if the millions of illegals were sent back to whence they came...there would be lots of room for us honest people to bring our fiances and spouses into the country. The workload on the service centers would be concentrated on people coming here legally as opposed to keeping all the illegals here.

Quit crying. At least you are at the CSC. Want to trade places and be at the TSC?

Uncalled for and not helpful at all. I feel for these people. Do you?? And yet 7 people gave you a posiutive rating. I wish there was a way to give a negative rating.

Agree 100% about the negative rating! No one is having fun with this process, so why do we have to be negative with one another to add to the unpleasantries??? lol
