Hi Everyone,

On the long shot that someone will be reading this who recently had an interview for an Immigrant Spousal Visa at the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) the defacto American consulate in Taiwan, I had a few questions.

The Documentation Checklist we got from the American Institute is asking for several things that we already submitted with the NVC application and that we don't have the originals of in particular the Birth Certificate and Marriage, we do have copies of that...however, the most important thing that has me worried is that I can't find copies of the signed I-864 forms that my father and stepmother filled out as evidence of financial support.

For some stupid reason I can't find the copies, will this be a problem?

Why would they ask for these if they already received them at the NVS and will have sent them to AIT with our application?

In addition the Documentation Checklist also asks for a DS-230, when we actually submitted a DS-260 online and of which I never saw a copy and can't seem to figure out how to download? Do we have to fill out the DS-230 and bring it even though we've filled out the DS-260?

Thanks in advance for all your help, freaking out over here!

~~moved to Embassy discussion as OP is asking about issues at a consulate or embassy specifically not the general IR1/CR1 process~~
