Our case was received today at the NVC - yay!

The woman I spoke with told me it could take up to 40 days to receive a case number... :cry:

Would like to start this thread for others whose cases are received at NVC this month to compare progress.

That is great news! My fiance might have to go to Morocco also....it is the designated consulate for Libya currently. SO inconvenient for him. We are trying to request Tunisia.

I called the NVC this morning at about 5am Pacific time. It took about 15 minutes of continuously hitting redial before I didn't get a busy signal. Then I was on hold for about 30 minutes. But great result! I spoke to a very nice woman who said that my case was received on Nov 26 and she gave me the case number and invoice ID number. My NOA2 was on Nov 12.

She said nothing had happened with the case yet and to wait 30 days before calling back to get additional status. I said no problem, but will call back next week :)

Awesome! Are you supposed to pay the invoice right away? Or do you have to wait until you receive instructions?

I'm hoping the holidays don't slow things down since it took months for the TSC to process NOA2! We received notice on November 21st, and then I got another text on November 26th that my file was sent to the NVC. Haven't called yet, even though tempted, but will try Friday which will make the two week mark.

K1 PROCESS 2014-2015 - Done!

NOA1- June 24th
RFE- October 15th
They received RFE back- October 24th
NOA2- November 21st
Text that file sent to "Dept. of State" NVC- November 26th
NVC received Thursday, December 4th
Got Case # over phone on Monday, December 8th
"In Transit" status Wednesday, December 10th
"Ready" status Friday, December 12th
Arrived at Embassy Monday, December 15th
Package 3 emailed and returned Wednesday, December 17th
Interview date sent Thursday, December 18th for New Year's Eve!

Rescheduled for January 14 & 15th

I think you should go ahead and give it a try. Everyone that you there noa2 immediately before mine got theirs on the 19 and were shipped off on 26th. I got mine on the 21 and it was shipped off on the on 1st. Lately I've noticed people getting their numbers pretty quickly from NVC and the OP got hers almost immediately. . .

They didn't give me the invoice, just the number. I have to wait for this mysterious "packet 3" to receive that. I plan on calling next Monday morning to get an update on the progress.
