Call back and ask for Tier 2.

There's a Tier 2? I thought about asking for a manager or something but didn't. Seriously, that works?

Yes, Tier 2 are immigration officers. The first people who answer the phone are customer service reps. You might be on hold for a very long time while they transfer you to Tier 2, but there is an option for them to call you back.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

Thanks! It's hard to stay positive but we're working through it day by day. It's made even harder right now because the ara of Pakistan than my fiancée is working in has sketchy Internet at best so we haven't been able to skype for three months now. Being stuck with just a few minutes of a phone call each day (very little overlap where one or both of us are awake and not at work) has made it even worse. However, we're both working, so hey, the time passes more quickly there. :)

Awww my fiancé is also from Pakistan. I can understand how you're feeling about the time difference/ Internet issues. Hopefully the time goes by quickly and you two can be together again soon :)

This is HORRIBLE waiting for any word whatsoever. And the USCIS website is pathetic and rarely updated.

I've been watching here as well as on their website, and I'm infuriated to see people who filed WAY after we did (at the same service center) are already either at NOA2 and/or already approved! ("In the order that they are received" my a$$.) Meanwhile, we're 167 days and counting, and the NCSC is as worthless as the website.

I'm a federal employee, so a background check on me should not take any time at all - I've already had one!

WHY are we stuck in this void with no word, nothing but sitting here waiting?

I'm happy for the crowdsourced data here that gives a little encouragement that some people are getting through the process, but I'm also angry all the time that we're over all the averages already, and that our Embassy (Pakistan!) is notoriously slow to do their part as well.

It's "a few months for a lifetime together", but my God, we've already been apart 8 months. How much longer???

Thanks for "listening".

Christine

It is SO frustrating, I got you. The petitions you're probably referring to are from the Philippines, who are getting expedited. So they do technically go in some "order", but the only recent TSC petitions to be approved were from Philippines.

From what I've been told from someone who did data on this, this is what she found:

Days NOA2

15 5%

30 (1mo) 22% -

45 33%

60 (2mo) 46% -

75 52%

90 (3mo) 55% -

105 61%

120 (4mo) 73% -

135 84%

150 (5mo) 94% -

165 97%

180 (6mo) 100% -

(So basically 100% of people have their NOA2 or transfer by 6 months.)

By the 6 months mark you SHOULD have your approval. If you dont, you can DEFINITELY call! You can call at the 5 month mark, too, because sometimes they do lose track of files. It shouldn't be taking longer than 180 days- that's for sure.

So sorry you've had to wait so long. Good luck!

251 days, now that is absurd, even for TSC. I remember we were 186 days I think in the old VSC, situation..,..,.and that was painful enough, then another 3 months because of ""SPUTUM FIASCO""" that used to exist in the Philippines, BUT WITH the expedite now in place, that seems to be somewhat remote.

I pity the Pakistani petitioners, as it is a very slow country to get the final release to travel, even after the TSC.,.,.,.,does its job.,.,.,"which it is terrible at".,., why is CSC always ahead of them by months? Even the work load.,.,.,.,hope all you obama supporters love what he has done to people who have ""played by the rules" and some still suffer, the pain, and suffering of being apart, who knows what this new ""Emperor's" edict will effect legal petitioners!!!!!!!!!!

in 99% of the calls they repeat the same and in rare cases they can say something

my fiancee called them several times and the tier 2 said nothing

Okay, do me a favor, keep all nasty comments about the President OFF my thread. Especially as a member of the preferentially treated Philippines group who OBAMA gave preference to. This is not your opportunity to bash the President. Interesting that you even bring up Obama being at fault for immigration issues given the absolute repulsion of immigrants by the GOP and all the blockades they've managed to put into the system over the years (including removing all the staff of the agency that processes the applications, which is why we're all in this situation in the first place)!

Unbelievable. No wait. Completely typical.

Now if you want to talk about the reality of what happens when Congress shuts the government down and doesn't pass a budget, nom all for it. You're experiencing the after effects of that. Congress put us all into sequestration and then decided that the entire federal government needed to chop 20% off their budgets even after that (we're still sequestered btw, 1.5 years later). So organizations that are not priority (read: anyone except DoD) who already weren't funded or staffed at the appropriate level for the amount of work are seriously behind. Perhaps, if you're interested in damning the culprits of our situation, you'll write your Congressmen and women and tell them to do their jobs and pass a budget (no budget has been passed since Clinton was President).

That "preferentially treated Phillippine" member filed before the expedite which was issued after the typhoon in Nov 2013. I've been where you are and I know it's really tough, but no need to attack others who are sharing in your pain/misfortune.

It'll be interesting to see how Obama's immigration plan will affect legal immigration. My guess is it won't be good. Those 5 million illegals will need paperwork- and guess who process all that paperwork--pushing our AOS's and legal petitions back even more. I hope I'm wrong but we will see!

Did you contact your congressperson? Mine was great and really helpful. We got our approval about a month after I contacted them. They work for you, it's worth a shot.

I'm sorry, how is pushing back on a ridiculous attack on the President and stating facts about the situation "attacking" someone? If anything, that person owes an apology for turning this thread into yet another Republican attacking the President. Rude.

In response to tour immigration reform thought, we'll have to wait and see, but my thought is that the ma b effects on legal immigration processes will be more about the immense backlog of paperwork that will occur as millions of illegals apply for status at the same time as others who are following the legal process are entering the system. Bet you money no one allows USCIS to hire more people to process the paperwork, so what would normally take months will be extended exponentially. Those of us already in the process can only hope we're already through the entire system before the reforms get passed/implemented.

Just my take, given its still in conversation at this time.

As far as contacting my Congressmen, yes, I'm doing that today, thanks!

We won't be through the process because it starts to implement 2/2/2014 - Source USCIS page. God willing be will be in the EAD/GC portion of this process - right along with potentially 5million others, who BTW are already working... though illegially.
