I am sorry you are going through this…SIX MONTHS>.. :wow: ….

could it be the name….i was told that sometimes its common names trigger the FBI/Dept of State and they go into further checking. I am guessing this, no concrete evidence of it. I know this because two of my friends from india one was named Mohammed and the other syed, were put through like 5 months of AP for a work visa…whereas anyone else even other muslim friends that i have, with more uncommon names got their visas immediately. its just a guess. All in all sorry for such nonsense. I real hope thing work out quickly and fast for you.

:crying: Bangladesh Embassy....My husband was approved at his interview. He had 2 interviews, the first one was a lady & she took his fingerprints, and sorted through his papers...what they keep, what to give back to him...and gave him a paper to read with me when he gets to USA (how to do adjustment of status before 90 days before 2 yrs are up.) The 2nd interview was 4 hours later with a man, that was about 35 minutes interview...very thorough...looked at pics, looked at relationship proofs...asked lots of questions, took fingerprints again, then before his interview was over my husband saw APPROVED stamped in red and a seal on his papers, when the guy was stapling everything to his file...then the guy said "Ok...(and gave him the green sheet that said "Administrative Processing" in handwriting at the bottom)...everything's done, we will call you soon when your visa is ready...just bring this sheet back and your passport when we call you." and smiled.

:crying: So...here we are 6 months later...still waiting on "soon" :crying::ranting: But i guess it's just part of the process, apparently from reading on here, it happens alot to muslim men...I'm so ashamed USA is like that...I mean if there's no police record, and a couple is legally married, it shouldn't matter race or religion! I think we should protest...this visa thing should be like getting a driver's license...go show your papers, and they do it right there...why the F do we have to wait so long...seriously I got my 10 year no visa required stamp for Bangladesh in a week! :ranting:

Hi everyone

Sitting at Sydney airport waiting for flight back home so thought I would post with the past 24 hours news.

After receiving email from Consulate last Wednesday saying they had rescheduled interview but giving me my current date of 23rd December I didn't hear back from the until 8.30 am on Monday, yesterday. Guess when the interview was. 10.45 am today. I flew into action. Didn't go to work, booked flights, hotels, babysitters and ran to Post Office to get my 3kgs Express envelope. Two hours later I was at the airport.

Hotel in Sydney CBD upgraded me to a penthouse apartment and after a sleepless night I was at the Consulate by 10.15 am.

Didn't really have to e to get nervous. It all went so quickly. End result

APPROVED!!!!!

On my way home now to my children.

Will catch up on everybody's posts tomorrow.

thanks :goofy: yeah i'm guessing it's the name thing...it's not muhammad, but he has a couple common names in his name. So that's probably it. I'm just inspired to be positive, knowing others have had to wait this long, and they DO eventually get it issued...it's just so hard waiting!!! :crying:

Oh lovely - just another thing to get worried about! Hubby is of course the name that everyone loves to red flag! Hopefully with his amount of travels to the US for business sheer luck we'll get through...hopefully!

Regarding: IV Invoice Delay

Wow, what a difference it makes to speak to different reps. The first one I talked to today was clearly not having a good day. I just told her sorry to bother you and hung up and called again. lol

Second rep said they're still working on the system issue. They said it happened a few weeks back (5 weeks for me) that the system didn't generate the IV invoices. Now a supervisor has to review each case that submits a request and manually generate the invoice and send it. :( I hope it doesn't take long. God willing we get it soon.

Also I got a scan date but no email confirmation because of the IV hold up.

I hope everyone is having a great week so far.

~~~ Positive Vibes and Prayers for: All Invoices, Case Completes, and Successful Interviews~~~
~ Sofi
I'm so very sorry this happened to you and all the rest, boy they really know how to screw up don't they. They really need to let people know what's going on I'm sure a mass e-mail would and should be an easy venture. But they play by their own stupid rules. I don't think it should take long since this is a hit and miss thing. By this I mean if you don't call to find out what's going on you just sit there waiting forever. I'm thinking two weeks at most but let's pray it's sooner. Still keep calling every two to three days if you can. t5063.gif
:crying: Bangladesh Embassy....My husband was approved at his interview. He had 2 interviews, the first one was a lady & she took his fingerprints, and sorted through his papers...what they keep, what to give back to him...and gave him a paper to read with me when he gets to USA (how to do adjustment of status before 90 days before 2 yrs are up.) The 2nd interview was 4 hours later with a man, that was about 35 minutes interview...very thorough...looked at pics, looked at relationship proofs...asked lots of questions, took fingerprints again, then before his interview was over my husband saw APPROVED stamped in red and a seal on his papers, when the guy was stapling everything to his file...then the guy said "Ok...(and gave him the green sheet that said "Administrative Processing" in handwriting at the bottom)...everything's done, we will call you soon when your visa is ready...just bring this sheet back and your passport when we call you." and smiled.
:crying: So...here we are 6 months later...still waiting on "soon" :crying::ranting: But i guess it's just part of the process, apparently from reading on here, it happens alot to muslim men...I'm so ashamed USA is like that...I mean if there's no police record, and a couple is legally married, it shouldn't matter race or religion! I think we should protest...this visa thing should be like getting a driver's license...go show your papers, and they do it right there...why the F do we have to wait so long...seriously I got my 10 year no visa required stamp for Bangladesh in a week! :ranting:
I agree with you 100%, as far as I'm concerned they are very racist at the Embassy and yes I know all the problems but they use powerful organizations like Interpol to check people out and they are the best plus their own US organizations so they know who comes in to the USA. On top of all they make us go through at the end they torture us even more because we have no idea when or if the nightmare will ever end. It's just not right but no one will protest but us because the media has everyone thinking that all Muslims are terrorists when it's a very, very small percentage. :( I hate this! Hope and pray you get your Visa this week. t5063.gif
Hi everyone
Sitting at Sydney airport waiting for flight back home so thought I would post with the past 24 hours news.
After receiving email from Consulate last Wednesday saying they had rescheduled interview but giving me my current date of 23rd December I didn't hear back from the until 8.30 am on Monday, yesterday. Guess when the interview was. 10.45 am today. I flew into action. Didn't go to work, booked flights, hotels, babysitters and ran to Post Office to get my 3kgs Express envelope. Two hours later I was at the airport.
Hotel in Sydney CBD upgraded me to a penthouse apartment and after a sleepless night I was at the Consulate by 10.15 am.
Didn't really have to e to get nervous. It all went so quickly. End result
APPROVED!!!!!
On my way home now to my children.
Will catch up on everybody's posts tomorrow.
Love
Xxxxx
OMG WHAT A GREAT WEEK THIS IS TURNING OUT TO BE! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CONGRATULATIONS SO VERY HAPPY FOR YOU. YOU CAN'T EVEN IMAGINE GIRL, I'm doing the happy dance!!!!! 127fs2361263.gif
Soleanta
It is your final month here. I am watching and praying for you. What date are they on?
Xx
Thank you my sweet friend your so kind, I hope your safe at home with the little ones. Not sure but I think the last date I remember seeing was Oct 6 Th or so not really sure, I've even seen some Sept ones showing up. I'm so thrilled your out of this nightmare now for Samreen, Ebu, EOC and others to get out of this would be just wonderful as far as I'm concerned. :Dt5063.gif
Couldn't add this to your congrat post hehehe but here they are! smiley-happy093.gifsmiley-happy093.gif shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, told you, you would be home for Christmas! Woooo Hoooooo
Oh lovely - just another thing to get worried about! Hubby is of course the name that everyone loves to red flag! Hopefully with his amount of travels to the US for business sheer luck we'll get through...hopefully!
God willing all will be fine but will be praying they use common sense and VISA IN HAND! :Dt5063.gif
where is Soloenta??? What is her progress? Sorry, I've been away. I had my interview, got approved, and now am in U.S. with my husband.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CONGRATULATIONS SO VERY HAPPY FOR YOU. I was wondering what had happened with you my friend.
Not sure if you know but they gave me a checklist they asked for my parents marriage certificate (copy) because they are joint sponsors, I as a few others had no idea we needed to sent that. They lied about other things on the AOS but I just sent a new one so God willing they wont give me another checklist. :( I have another 20 days to wait for the 60 day penalty to be over.
