Thanks so much, of course without the support on the forum and of course my family I wouldn't be at this point...I'm extremely determined to speed it up - not only because we want to get closer to family (we've waited this long, we could wait another two months) but with the job at risk I do think it's worth a try through expediting processing. Crossing fingers. Did you get your interview date yet?? Sorry we've been away on holidays and haven't had a chance to catch up on the forum!

No worries I was away from the forum as well due to the holidays. No interview yet. Mexico is one of the embassies who starts late in the game when it comes to scheduling because they are so huge lol.....hopefully we'll know by next week when in February we'll be heading to Juarez.

I really hope they approve your expedite! I think it's a very valid reason.

 God's timing is always perfect. . . :star:"Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!" (Luke 1:45) ^_^

Thanks so much - can use as much prayers as possible. When they confirmed that my expedite was under review I must admit that lit a spark in me. I really didn't think that they would do much with it, I mean I know I'm only 1 out of 2 families that are trying to get their green card in Switzerland so hopefully they'll just be like 'meh, let's get this family out because they want to so much...' ;)

To be honest expedites through this forum is something you tread lightly on. But the more I think about it the more I realize that without a job we will have nothing to support our family and that's actually a very scare thing for us - If it was just me and the hubby we'd totally 'live life on the edge' and head over without ever second guessing it but with a 5 year old and a 3 year old in tow I can't even think of one reason to head to the US without having a job at hand. It just scares me and it's one of those things that you would never do to a little one if you can avoid it.

Thanks for the prayers - I'll be saying one for you as well to ensure that you get in your Feb interviews as quickly as possible and then we'll wave to eachother when we are in the same country together! :dancing:

...P.S. the tooth is out - in tremendous amounts of pain since I still have to deal with the penicillin in my body so HAPPY NEW YEARS TO EVERYONE AND ME!

This is the greatest lesson a child can learn. It is the greatest lesson anyone can learn. It has been the greatest lesson I have learned: if you persevere, stick w/it, work @ it, you have a real opportunity to achieve something. Sure, there will be storms along the way. And you might not reach your goal right away. But if you do your best and keep a true compass, you'll get there. Edward M. Kennedy,
