Hello Hello All,

Well after a grueling checklist - stating that one box about military service was not checked - Confirmed with my other paperwork that I printed the same time was checked - The supervisor reviewing it (Betsy) just stated that she checked the pages and the box isn't checked. I am so confused as to why I have two printed at the same time where the box is checked and the only one that was sent was the one that ISN'T? While I don't believe her I guess I have no choice...

So I've now wasted 2 weeks to get the new paperwork in and start the whole review time over again. I'm trying other options, just to let me know that I've tried everything to save my husbands job that we have secured when we get to the US - unfortunately another 60 days of waiting will probably mean the company will not wait for us and we will not have a job offer and well, probably not head to the US for months until we can secure another job.

Le Sigh. I guess the grumpiness is over - I spent the holidays in Euro Disney with my kids and hubby so I tried my best to enjoy that - ended with getting a bacteria infection in my gums and tooth and will now have to get a wisdom tooth pulled tomorrow (yes...on New Years Eve)...If this is any vision of how 2015 is going to be I am terrified!

Anyways, like the rest of us who have gotten a checklist and are now waiting I'll probably not be on very much...too busy keeping myself busy and figuring out how we can talk our job offer into giving us additional time for review. Lots of love to everyone who made it out of the woods...just can't believe that a box which I thought was checked turned out to be the problem in all of this.

Eh...I guess it had to be someone. Glad some of us got out of the woods unscathed. Anyways, I called her back and she noted my account so even the rep could tell me that her review included her conclusion.

oh ok.

I am also stuck in a pattern. They told me on november 28th that one thing missing was two passport sized photots. Got the checklist on the 18th and saw that it was in fact biogrpahic data page (which was sent before with the original package).

Spoke with a supervisor on the 18 and said he would review it. Havent heard back yet, but I will give him till jan 5th before calling back.

I have sent the photocopy of passport once again, but i dont want my 60 days to reset (they just received it yesterday). This thing keeps getting worse.

I do want to tell you that something like 'missing photos' is something that the supervisor can override and allow the embassy to receive them upon your interview (this information is what Betsy told me) - the reason why it doesn't work for me is because the AOS is a contract that needs to be filled completely (according to her). So there may be hope in your supervisor review - good you sent the photos because if they receive it and you tell the supervisor the new ones are in the office he may be able to request to retrieve it and then pass the approval...I'm wishing you tons of luck and we all know what your going through!

Sorry to hear you are going through all of that.

Have you consider to do an expedite request based on the job situation? Madrid embassy accept that situation as a valid one for a expedite request. Maybe Geneva does too.

It's one of the paths that I've taken today - I've also done the second option which was to send my updated AOS with the attn: PI Supervisor - the supervisor said that she couldn't confirm if that would get it approved any faster than the 60 days but it was worth a shot. I've also sent in my request to expedite and it's been sent over to my embassy at the moment. I'm praying hard they understand my case as we are really worried about even going back to the US without the job offer - I am not one to chance my children's lives at the cost of going back home. Alhumduillah we do have a good life here but being away from family and not allowing my kids to see them for 6 years has really proven hard for us. But God always has a plan and I will fight until he finally says that's enough and gives the things that are planned to me. :goofy:

I'm so sorry to hear that they were not able to resolve anything for you. Seems like you have done your research and have gone to different paths to get this expedited. I hope they do accept it because financial burden is definitely a reason to expedite a case! Best of luck and I hope everything works out for you.

Just FYI regarding printing: I printed my AOS form 3 times (at the same time) and each time different things were missing in each print job. In one my US citizen box/Military box were unchecked, the other had my current income missing, and the last one had the two things above missing plus the incomes for the past 3 years. Those dumb forms print in a weird manner sometimes. Just in case you were wondering how it could happen. I swear it feels like even the forms are against us in this process.

Again best of luck and I'll be rooting they get this squared away before another 60 days! :)

 God's timing is always perfect. . . :star:"Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!" (Luke 1:45) ^_^

Oh Sylvia, I am so totally happy for you, it is about time you start seeing some joy in your life. Believe me the way the months are speeding up, your husband will be with you in no time. Sorry I have not been on, preparing to get out of dodge on the 4th of Jan. I never knew I had so much luggage. Well I guess I am going to spend slot on excess luggage. I read someone's comment on using business class. I definitely am using business class, 12 and a half hours to Atlanta is no joke. Anyways I am so happy for you my sister, your journey is coming to an end. My love always, such a strong woman

Thank you my beloved sister, WOW so happy you'll be home very soon and yes I bet you have ton's of luggage. I can only imagine how much your leaving behind, I'll be praying for a safe and non eventful journey home. :D

I've never been in Business class I go for the cheapest hahahaa I figure I can use he money to buy lovely stuff so I can take a 22 hour flight ;) I think I'm including time waiting for he transfer to another flight but what the heck. Wish there was a non stop from Egypt to LAX. I'll go first class here and back if I win the lotto. :D.

Please pray no AP after that I think we are home free. Love you! t5063.gif
