Yup they open tomorrow the SOB's for what they do they shouldn't get holidays at ALL! They should be fined for every time they make a mistake and lose files .

Hi msc13... I hope you had a very enjoyable christmas now that the family are finally united. My kids had a great white Christmas morning, opening gifts and later making angels in the 12" fresh powder.

In case you didn't know, Samreen got her visa issued on Dec 22. I bet she's too busy preparing for the mad dash to the Border.

Soloenta....Could you start a January Stuck in AP rant and rave or a 2015 Happy New Year AP to ISSUED rant and rave??? I would love to know how many people are stuck in ap, how long, what countries, etc....i'm sure there's lots of people like us who do google searches and can't find much of anything....maybe we can be a support and get support from a thread like that...? and Inshallah YOU won't have to be a part of that thread...I pray you get your ISSUED same day as your interview..I hope everyone does...it shouldn't be this complicated or frustrating. i mean, it is almost 2015....y is this process so long and difficult with the technology of our time??? UGH.

Hello my angel and I'm praying you get out of that mess as soon as possible. I agree it would be a great idea to start a thread but I'm a bit paranoid, but why don't you start the thread its very easy go here, http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/134-ir-1-cr-1-spouse-visa-case-filing-and-progress-reports/ On the right hand side you will see "Start New Topic" then just fill out what you want the title to be and the message you want to convey everyone. Once finished click done them click follow top right and copy the link and paste it here so we can all go annoy you. I would call it " STUCK IN AP Administrative Processing NIGHTMARE" join the rant! I pray I will never have to use it, I have had enough waiting and crying I just need peace.

Honestly I think they enjoy it and the power that makes it possible. I'm sorry, why are you guys in AP and so long did they say anything to your husband? Oh my God this is my greatest fear you have no idea. I think if we aren't put in AP it will be a miracle from God himself.

they said he was approved and would call him "soon" when his visa was ready. that was 201 days ago.

OMG I'm sorry that is just EVIL, did you call by any chance to remind them or contacted you Congress person etc. This is just a travesty.

I've emailed too many times to count, I've called the embassy, a dozen + times, they always say I have to email them, I've called the processing center they subcontract twice, all they do is read the ceac status, I've called Nvc they asked me if I was calling about his green card and I said well not exactly but I'm checking on his case...they said yeah it's ready...how long has he been waiting for it? I said he's not here yet. They said really? Oh...well his card is ready. I said great! Do you know when he will get his visa? Then they said you'll have to contact embassy it's in their jurisdiction. I'm sorry I can't hep you further. And I said oh well but his green card's ready? They said yes mam. Please contact the embassy about his processing time. I said thank you very much. I will try. So of course I tried calling them again. I tried calling uscis. So basically after the embassy gets the case it's in their hands completely. Every email or call it's always the same thing. What the ceac status says. I even went to the embassy on my last visit last month & guess what??? They said they can't comment on it & to just check the status updates. So now I refuse to email or call because every other update that happened ONLY happened the next day after my email. So it wasn't a real update. They must have just keyed in our account # and checked our status then it must auto "update" but it's always AP. now I want it to change on it's own not cuz I sent some email. They will never give us anything but their standard response email, so what's the point? I'd rather wait to see it change on it's own, so I know it's actually getting attention! Grrrrr

Sweetheart, I'm so sorry to read what you are going through. This whole process is frustrating enough even when things go smoothly, I can only imagine how mentally and emotionally exhausted you are because of all of this AP headache. We all, at one point or another, get to a point where we are so fed up we need to take a step back until we can collect all the pieces of ourselves that were broken by the carelessness of others, and are able to piece ourselves back together.

May I suggest, once you have had some time to collect yourself, you take a few moments and contact your senator and/or congressman. I am going to suspect things like this are more common than not, as from what I have seen, most of senators/congressmen have a section on their release forms designated for immigration issues.

The fact that your husband's green card is ready, but your husband is not, will definitely raise some eyebrows. Since you are tired of getting the runaround, put it in the hands of you officials and let them work for you. In your instance, they should demand answers and hold the embassy accountable.

You will be in my prayers. Insha'Allah, you and your husband will be reunited soon.

Oh sweet heart I'm so very sorry this happened to you guys but it's worth a last effort, this just doesn't seem right, Visa approved, green card ready to deliver! It seems you have fallen through the cracks and you need to walk into your Congress or Senator's office and talk to them as a last ditch effort. Ask they why they would say Visa approved and after six months plus nothing. I guarantee they will at least look into it might even move the Embassy to hurry up. I think it's worth a try as a last ditch effort. In the mean time you in my heart and prayers, they just shouldn't happen, God willing soon this will end with Visa in hand.
