This process is definitely not for the "faint of heart" nor, the "weak in the knees". I will be visiting my husband in California for two weeks coming up in January - woo hoo. haven't seen one another since we got married in July  . Am taking all the forms and supporting documents with me when I go and we will finally be submitting Round 1 to USCIS, and, I too, am getting "weak in the knees", because, I too, think to myself, and, I am soooo organized..., where did I put that, where is this, did I remember to do this, did I sign in black ink. OY!!

So, I wish everyone all the best and success, and a strong and healthy heart and knees!!

Blessings to all.

First is first, graphics-welcome-010883.gif to the thread.

Boy do we all know how you feel but it will he better for you than for us. Many of us waited over a year to just get to NVC to be slowed down yet again. Plus you get to send in the AOS and IV packages together and that saves time. Good luck to you and I hope things go smoothly for you my friend. :D

Our status was updated on friday so I really thought they will issue today but nothing uptil now. It they don't issue it till Tomm then Christmas gone without hubby. All because if NVC fault. This is so wrong

Geez updated but no Visa yet, those lazy good for nothings they are probably to busy with all their office parties to worry about getting their jobs done. I'm praying you get your Visa soon but if you miss Christmas it will be the last one you miss. Really what's wrong with these people they are just too much to deal with. I just want this to end in a positive note for all of us. t5063.gif It is wrong in so many ways but just hang in there and I'll try to do the same. :(

Oh it gets worse my dear heart, I was excited because I found an error on the e-mail that was sent me so I thought I'd call today to see if I don't have to send anything. Thank God, I called the SOB's want all three of the AOS's saying pages are missing. Nothing was missing, nothing! You want to throw something I want to kill someone, I just don't know how much more I can take and I bet you they will put us in AP when at the Embassy. Just nothing is going right! Nothing I can do but do again what they ask. :(

So happy to see you post, was wondering what you were up to :D

I agree they are discriminating, but they can do what they want with impunity, they are above the law. But, it could be worse we have CC and I'll have to shell out more money to get the AOS to my husband and the Embassy when ever they decide to give us an interview. I am praying that goes off without a hitch but wont hold my breath.

Thank you so much for your sweet and kind words my friend but I'm not a saint and have felt the same when people get through the whole process in just two to three months and on top of that are ungrateful and complain on how long it's taking. All I can say to those, be grateful we don't live next door or I'd be strangling you. :Dt5063.gif

Thinking of you also my dearest and please how are you doing, is all well with you? Your in my prayers always.

Used to take 2 to 3 weeks :( but I believe so they say is they are backlogged from DACA, then people complained and they started to rush people through USCIS which many of us were stuck for more than a year and is now about 5 months without taking into consideration they did nothing so NVC could handle the huge incoming files. Typical government oversight. :( It's getting a little faster but not by much.

I see you also had a Checklist and am wondering if there is a computer glitch seems a lot of AOS checklists for Middle Eastern countries or maybe not a glitch. Hummmmmmm I wonder. t5063.gif

Unfortunately it really was an error on my part with the AOS. I didn't answer *one* question I should have without realizing it. I guess I didn't check it well. Anyway, I mailed it out Saturday and it should be there--hopefully--but Tuesday. So, I guess I won't hear anything until end of February. I just hope my husband will be here by the summer..

We all make mistakes and for some reason the AOS is the one with the most checklists. I don't know about mine I'm confused now I look at the AOS's I sent them and they are correct but they say things are missing. I feel like I'm living in the twilight Zone and the loop is never ending. :(

You never know you just might get a miricle and get it way before the 60 days. :)

Soloenta, to read this makes my blood boil. My assumption with this is that they lost some of you pages. Alhamdulillah, you should be able to send them by DHL to your husband and then have your husband hand deliver or courier one set to the embassy once the interview is scheduled. Maybe it is just me, but I feel like this happens more to those of specific demographic backgrounds. :/

If it were me, I wouldn't send anything until I actually have an interview date, and I would be calling the NVC several times a day until I find someone willing to look for the missing pages. Did you by chance put the case number on the pages?

On another note, what are the odds that the people from the embassy would retaliate in the fashion of denying my husband a visa or putting us in an unnecessary long administrative processing if I chose to start pursuing the reform issue now versus once we are through the process. I feel like I can't wait. I feel like I must do this now. My aunt was out somewhere with my uncle the other day and my aunt was so upset telling my uncle about the troubles I and everyone else are having with the process and about the embassy denying my expedite, and a woman that works for one of the congressman here in my state happened to over hear the conversation and actually gave my aunt some information and suggested I sent up a meeting with the congressman. I feel like this is Allah's way of telling me to take a stand now, how can I say no to that? At the same time, if it will lead to negative repercussions, I don't know if I am equipped to deal with that right now.

I don't know they wont tell me if the page is lost and yes I put our case number and I did it with a special stamp so I wouldn't make a mistake, same number every time.

I'm going to do just that send both originals to my husband and once we have the interview he will send it to the Embassy via DHL. No it's not just you my sweet friend they target us in any and every way. It's crystal clear and they can do it with impunity which I find disgusting.

I feel if I call to ask them to look for the pages they will delay us again. I hear if you ask for a supervisor it takes up to 42 days, so I rather foot the DHL cost and just send it to my husband.

Good question about retaliating against you two by putting you in AP or making it longer than it has to be. I can't say because this process has made me totally paranoid and I've never felt this way before it's new to me. It's sad to think we have to be scared of our own country. I wish I could be there with you if you seek help from your Congressman even if we aren't from the same state you can mention us in your complaint so they know it's not just you.

I asked for help from my Congresswoman she did nothing, I asked for help from my Senator and I have yet to hear from them. I really feel all alone in this besides my VJ family. I'm just plain tired, I don't want to do anything because I'm bracing for AP, I feel it's inevitable. I just want to watch TV with my husband eating chips or laughing at something on TV. This is NOT normal! All I can suggest is to ask your Congressman if it's possible for them to retaliate. Then just go with your heart after that.

Your in my thoughts and prayers always, t5063.gif

You're probably right, if you call and ask them to look into it, they will probably delay the case even longer.

I like your suggestion, I will approach the congressman and let him know my concerns about pursuing this issue. I will also let them know of you and the many others I have read about on the VJ forum.

I have to say, I have been very disappointed with the level of service I have received from the senators office. I ended up dumping my case worker because he refused to reply to my emails when I asked him questions and refused to resend the information the NVC was requesting because he had already sent it to them once before. After making a complaint, another aid took over, but she ended up not being a whole lot better. Also, when I had asked her how I can get involved in trying to make changes to the overall process, her response was, I will forward your concerns to the senator.

Thanks for praying for me! If I pursue this I think I will need it!

Thank you, it's a shame even our complaints fall on deaf ears nothing moves them no matter the branch of government we are dealing with.

WOW I see all offices are the same they just don't care and the level of apathy is palpable. No worries about the prayers you have them no matter what. Also let this person know even if I"m not from his/her state I will never vote again for either party.

why won't your marriage survive the NVC process? Is your husband/wife giving up on immigrating?

We had an argument over the phone and he did say he just wanted to quit everything (meaning immigration and us). We have thousands of miles that separate us and been away from each for too many months. Just passing through a difficult moment i guess.

my dear take heart, we all say things in a heat of a moment which we don't mean, am sure the hole thing is stressing him also. Don't take it to heart. Try tomorrow or late night and talk to him again when he is much calmed. It will never come to that, always remember you are not alone. Am praying by the end of this month or early January all of us who doesn't have CC will get one in God's Name. And an early interview also. Please try and get busy with something else and the time will move quickly. Am busy with my 10 month old baby, trying not to stress. God is with us and he will strengthen us.

This is the greatest lesson a child can learn. It is the greatest lesson anyone can learn. It has been the greatest lesson I have learned: if you persevere, stick w/it, work @ it, you have a real opportunity to achieve something. Sure, there will be storms along the way. And you might not reach your goal right away. But if you do your best and keep a true compass, you'll get there. Edward M. Kennedy,

Oh my friend I'm so sorry to hear this but maybe something happened to him today that has him in a very bad mood did you ask him?

I just said a prayer and will be saying them nightly no fears. :)t4621.gif

That would be amazing haha. I dont know about you all, but i feel like 2014 was just a year of waiting for things to happen. I hope 2015 is the year of things actually happening haha. Congrats on your CC and I hope everything else goes ok for you and your husband. Distance really takes a toll on couples, but I think if people can survive that, they can survive anything. Good luck :D
