Hello to every one.. I'm really confused about the checklist that I received yesterday. I will tell u guys my whole story and I hope someone can help me. I'm IR-2 category of visa. I got a checklist on October 1 regarding to the affidavit of support form so our attorney has corrected it and resent to the nvc on October 21 and the nvc received it on October 27 so my official scan date is October 27. On December 18 which is yesterday I got an email from nvc telling me they finished reviewing my document that i submitted to them and they found another mistakes in the form but the surprise is that checklist is the same I had before so that is so confusing. guys by the way the nvc asked me to bring the corrected one to the interview so they won't me to resend it again to them so plz if someone could help me with a confusing checklist I'll be appreciated .

Got my welcome email today and already NVC is trying to make me cry.

The welcome email was issued in my maiden name, not my married name. All of my identification is in my married name.

Additionally, I went to log in to CEAC and got told "Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please contact the National Visa Center if you believe that you have received this message in error. "

So I called. It took me over an hour to get to talk to a person. The person's response (I think her name was Lee?) was "Oh, well, it doesn't matter what name we're using for you on your welcome email. And you should be able to get into CEAC without any issue, right now. You must use Internet Explorer, it doesn't work on macs."

So I get off the phone miserable because my brand new computer isn't going to work for this process. I tell my wife. She tries to log in to CEAC on Internet Explorer.

She gets the SAME MESSAGE.

So I am now on hold for the second time tonight.

Sorry about all the confusion. I have used Macs to check CEAC and never had any trouble. I always see changes made through there so I don't know what they're talking about. I use Safari too.

Soloenta, how do we find out our interview date besides waiting for email/letter? IS there a site or anything before where we can check?

My very sweet friend, I'm thrilled it was an easy entrance to your new home. Would have been horrible if after all this torture you would have had more problems there. He should have said Welcome to the USA but it's just a job to them. I'm so immensely thrilled your finally home safe and sound with the little ones. More so that the torture is done, over forever!

Did you get to do anything in L.A? Disneyland or were you all to tired to do anything or not enough time?

Yes, I still can't believe it, I wake up and smile and think don't have to call NVC today and it's a great feeling. Oh and I have actually slept for the last two days hahaa. Please don't stop praying that we don't get put in AP, it's what scares me the most.

Love you Girl congratulations on your easy POE and have a safe journey home tomorrow. :Dt5063.gift4582.gif

"Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, may the peace mercy and blessings of Allah be with you all." And with you my dear friend, also congratulations your normal. Don't feel bad I pretty much felt the same way when some zipped by the whole immigration process and on top of that had their expedite approved for something as stupid (sorry) as they wanted their husband home for Christmas when others have emergencies and need to be home with their spouse. It's a process that is indescribable and the feelings it forces us to go through is painful and unbelievably stressful. For example, I have been sleeping around 12 hours at a stretch for the first time ever and sleeping well since I left my husband in Egypt. So don't worry this will pass and you will be back to normal. Give yourself a break, your a wonderful person going through so very difficult times that not everyone can withstand.

Know we are here for you so your NOT alone! Love you girl. t5063.gif

Soloenta, you are an angel. Thank you my dear friend for helping me to realize it is okay to feel the way I have been feeling. All I can say is Alhamdulillah for everything.

Even after speaking to Hazel this morning, in which I was informed that as of 12/17, my expedite has been denied by the embassy without reason, I still feel at peace. Maybe it's my Egyptian blood, or maybe it's because I was a spoiled only child, but I am stubborn and persistent, I have never taken no for an answer and I don't plan to start now. Even if they deny me until the day of the interview, I will not stop requesting expedite of my case. I hope the embassy is aware they have not gotten ride of me. By the time I am done, they will say to themselves, it would have just been easier to approve the expedite the first time. My grandfathers physician is currently drafting a letter about his newly diagnosed potentially life threatening autoimmune disorder. On top of that, now we are back to having incontinence issues. The level of care required to treat the new autoimmune disorder has taken the focus away from his physical therapy and other stroke recovery activities. With it being just me here to handle it all, along with trying to hold onto my job, there is just not enough time in the day to do everything. Once I receive the letter, I will be sending a new request.

And I just have to say, there is no reason for you to apologize for calling some of these peoples reasons for expedites stupid, it is true. I have seen many expedite requests get approved despite the very trivial reasons for the requests. It just baffles me. For the first time in my life, I am truly disgusted with the country I live in. I hate being involved in politics, but I think it is time I step up and start a movement demanding for changes. Not just for this broken immigration system, but also for the senior and aging population. If you ask me, it is unacceptable for a war veteran to be in a situation where he is unable to obtain the medical care and assistance he needs. He was denied VA benefits because he was not wounded or a POW. He has Medicare and a supplemental, both of which have caps that have been met. So now the burden has been placed on the family. This is absolutely unacceptable! Once I am through this process and my husband and I are reunited, I will take a stand, and I will demand changes!

Okay... Sorry for the rant! One day I can't stop crying, now today, I am a woman on a mission. I think I may have completely lost it! Is there such thing as situational bipolar? Lol! If so I think I might have it. Hahaha!

On a good note, Hazel did confirm that the AOS and IV documents were in their system yesterday. A few minutes later we received a confirmation email informing us our documents were received on 12/17, and according to Hazel the 60 day countdown starts from the day the documents were received. Just 58 days to go as long as I didn't make any mistakes. Woohoo!

Hi everyone

POE yesterday at LAX. Took 15 minutes at 6.30 in the morning. Bit of an anti climax really. Didn't even say Welcome to America. No questions, nothing. Just went through normal immigration with children on their US passports, then they took me to a waiting area. We were the only ones there. 10 minutes later took fingerprint of index finger, signed a Form, guy took papers to his window and then called me and gave me back my Passport stamped. Waited 16 months for that. We fly up to New York tomorrow and then drive home on Saturday morning.

Thank you so very much to all my VJ friends. I will still be coming here to keep up with how you are all doing.

Oh Soloenta

I have just logged on first time in a few days and have seen the wonderful news.

I am thrilled beyond words.

You of all people deserve this.

Well done sweetie. Now for a quick interview.

Xxx

I should've checked VJ before I sent you the earlier message. I'll say it for them... Welcome to America, Again!

What a feeling when you step into the main terminal after immigration and TSA checkpoint.

Hi there! Congraaaats!

So, I had the same kind of expedite...Unfortunatly NVX won't send your packages right away...instead, you need to have a case complete, and then you won't need to wait in the line to have them scheduling an interview; your package is sent right away to the consulate and they schedule the interview for whenever they can...but that will happen only after a case complete from NVC..:/ it sucks, but trust me, it's waaay better than nothing!!

Hey, fellow Brazilian resident here!!

How do I attempt to get it expedited? I've called the NVC and they've told me that there is no way to expedite it. Any ideas?

Hey guys!!!!! I called monday to speak to a supervisor abt the mistake that NVC operators made by not giving me accurate info as to what was wrong (checklist). Spoke to supervisor Silvia on monday who reminds me of myself but doing whatever she can to help and extremely professional.....said she would call me back......just got the message that we're approved/case complete thank God. Cant wait to see my baby :)

Major appreciation and gratitude to supervisor Silvia. God bless your heart and soul. I will fill in my timeline later.

Marriage: 12/10/2013

NOA2: 6/10/14
Email that it was shipped to nvc: 6/23/14
Received by NVC: 7/1/14
Case#/IID# assigned: 7/16/14
Received/Submitted DS-261: 7/29/14
Paid AOS fee: 7/30/14
Sent AOS packet: 8/1/14
Aos fee showing PAID: 8/2/14
Received and paid IV Fee: 9/8/14 (fee showing paid / DS-260 available 9/9/14)
Submitted DS-260: 9/11/14
Sent IV packet: 9/24/14
NVC Received 9/26/14

Arrived in US: 3/8/14

STILL HAPPY AND NORMAL AS OF 8/4/2016!!

AOS Approved per phone: 10/22/14
*Received what I thought was a false checklist on this date as well*

*Problems: Called on 10/27/14 11/5/14 and 11/20/14 just to be proactive On all of these dates except the last, NVC kept telling me that my IV document probably hadn't been reviewed yet. On 11/20 the representative told me that the BC needed to be inextensa and the marriage license. True enough I had sent an extracto. But requested a supervisor review bc I knew the marriage lic was inextensa. 2 days later called again and got the same supervisor who told me that the marriage lic needed the proper signed legalizada (sticker on the back)

Sent necessary documents/Received: 11/20/14 and 11/26/14

Called 12/15/14: got Arthur....after he checked and verbally spanked he sent me to supervisor Silvia who said she would pull my file and try to figure it out.

Case complete: 12/19/14 Sylvia called and left a voicemail, called and confirmed later that night and status changed to N/A.

Thank you so much Sylvia. May God bless you and your family.

Appointment date and time received: 12/27/14

***FAST FORWARD***

Hey, fellow Brazilian resident here!!

Hi there! It's really hard to find brazilians with this kind of visa right?!

So...mine was based on health reasons (I, the beneficiary, have a health condition that needs to be followed by a specialist, and since I lost my job I don't have health insurance, while in the USA I do, due to much husband's job. So we collected a lot of papers - three letters from doctors, results of exams, letter from the health insurance in the US proving I have it there, and so on - and we scanned and send it all with a letter to the email nvcexpedite@state.gov

They send it all to the consulate in rio and then they decide weather or not have an expedition request approved. So, we did, but the NVC desnt review any paper faster. They process everything in normal speed but once you have a case complete your papers go straight to the consulate and then they schedule the interview for the closer date they can.

Hope I could help you, let me know if you have more questions. :)

I got my checklist email and it's one question!!! Just one on the AOS where I was supposed to indicate exactly how many immigrants I'm sponsoring. They asked that question like 3 times on the form ughhh why couldn't they just figure that out? I'm so mad at myself. I set us back another 2 months because of a stupid error. If I've learned anything during this process, it's that you HAVE to pay attention. :'(

I will send my husband one and then we get an interview will send it directly to the Embassy. NVC said there were pages missing and no signatures which is BSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS because I made sure I had my mother sign it and I dated it which they are saying it was not dated or signed. They want the taxed for 2013 and I sent them an IRS letter stating they didnt since they don't meet the reqirement to file. What more do they want from me my liver? I'm so frustrated, a few days of peace, I've actually slept now this #######. It's just to much, what if they don't accept the supposed corrected one. This is so disturbing. :(

The only way I know is to call NVC since it should still be there, anyone know of a different way? Sorry just want to make sure for you.

Woohoo!

Your very welcome my dear friend, I'm just reminding you of the truth and may I say how amazing you are. The Egyptian Embassy is for me the worst Embassy in the world mean, nasty without compassion what so ever, no humanity to speak of. Is it possible to show proof of financial burden plus the medical problems? I think if you show both they will give it to you and they denied me twice the SOB's. They truly disgust me to no end, they all deserve to be fired and replaced with human beings.

Boy you need to run for the Senate or Congress we need people like you in Washington, we need people like you for sure. :) I'd vote for you in a heartbeat. :D

I love tenacity and that's the only way to get ahead in these situation, God bless you for all you do and more so for taking care of our grandfather it's not an easy job.

Ok then count down begins! WOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

She did NOTHING for me! :( But,

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CONGRATULATIONS SO VERY HAPPY FOR YOU.

I think the SOB's do it to trip us up! So don't feel bad it's all their fault.

Congratulations dear!!!! I was checking in lookin for your CC oh how wonderful ... Finally ! So happy for you

Thank you so much my dear friend. :D It was a great feeling until today, now I have to send a new AOS to my husband. From what I'm seeing it seems to be common for Arab/Muslim countries, if you notice all the AOS e-mails received. I had missing pages, no signatures or dates again all LIES. I'm just tired of the BS.
