ohhhh thank you so much Soloenta...we are on day 35-36 post checklist scan .In my husbands optimism he keeps telling me we will get CC by the weekend .My heart wants this but my head says its too early...even with prayers. I dont know whats wrong with me...nothing ever shakes my faith but NVC has managed to do just that.I know God is fully able to make it happen but sometimes it just seems like his timing isn't mine and that feels bad. There are so many in my family in the states that need me there and I need to be there. You know the circumstances...uggghhhh this is so crazy having to wait so long to bring my husband from the Netherlands to the states with me.

I know exactly how you feel and I'm not perfect by any stretch of the imagination and there were times I couldn't pray. I found out this is just normal we are only human and it is in God's time not ours. I do believe prayer can move mountains when we pray. As I said I failed many times to pray thinking I wasn't being heard.

This system if cruel, they tread prisoners, serial killers better than they treat us, it's not fair or right but here we sit, we can't turn back we are in mid stream. I have seen a few given CC way before the 60 days others a few days after so it's why I asked for prayers because I know how much you need this to end. I wish I was in charge I would give everyone in this thread a CC and automatic Visa. :Dt5063.gif

Thank you my dear for your warmest prayers! I am really praying for everyone (including myself) - I sent the AOS once again and paid another $120 to expedite it so it gets there by Tuesday at the latest (yes you pay 120 dollars and can only get it 3-4 day delivery! :ranting: ) I'm really hoping they won't need that extra peice of paper and can just grab my papers and say 'oh there's the mistake the NVC rep did...I'll just approve you' -- But it seems I'm probably not getting a call today.

I'm using a landland phone for communication so I am literally stuck at home waiting for this supervisor to call and hate the vagueness of it all...but it's what test I have to over come and I guess I'm willing to do it - God only knows the right time that something should be given to me - I just pray he offers it to me soon because I feel I'm at my wits end (as I'm sure all of you going through the same if not worse situations are!).

I'm so happy for all of you who got their CC's - I knew some of us would be in the checklist situation with such a big group. Does feel sad that I am going through it but I know I will get out of it and that's the light at the end of the tunnel.

Your very welcome sweet heart and your never alone and yes you will get out of this. If I did anyone will if they stick it out, I'm praying things speed up and I know the Holidays slows things. Just can't help myself and OUCH on the cost how ridiculous :(t5063.gif

Congrats everyone who received a CC! I'm still waiting along with so many others. The last email I received from NVC was on October 27th saying they received my AOS/IV docs so I hope to hear something soon.

graphics-welcome-010883.gif To the thread. :D

Have you called and when was your last scan date from you Timeline it looks like it should be the 21st to 22ed of Oct? If so you should be calling to check. Good luck It seems you should be close to a CC yourself. :)

I just have to say, I love how supportive and encouraging everyone on the VJ forum is for one another. It's nice to know there are still a few caring, kind, and compassionate people in this world. It truly warms my heart.

Some days I feel like I am not as good of a person as I have always thought of myself to be. I am so happy for all those progressing and getting their CC, as you have sure suffered through this horrid process long enough. As I am also happy for those that have had their expedites approved, but each time I see another person get their expedite approved in less than a weeks time, regardless of which consulate, there is a slight feeling of bitterness that overcomes me. This whole process is bringing out a side of me that I have never seen before and I really wish to never see again. God bless my husband for his patience and kind gestures. I have to be honest, I don't know how he tolerates me in the current state I am in. There are times where I feel so emotionally out of control, if I had the option to get away from myself, I'd run far far away.

I don't think I can say thank you enough to all of you for your continued support and encouragement. Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, may the peace mercy and blessings of Allah be with you all.

"Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, may the peace mercy and blessings of Allah be with you all." And with you my dear friend, also congratulations your normal. Don't feel bad I pretty much felt the same way when some zipped by the whole immigration process and on top of that had their expedite approved for something as stupid (sorry) as they wanted their husband home for Christmas when others have emergencies and need to be home with their spouse. It's a process that is indescribable and the feelings it forces us to go through is painful and unbelievably stressful. For example, I have been sleeping around 12 hours at a stretch for the first time ever and sleeping well since I left my husband in Egypt. So don't worry this will pass and you will be back to normal. Give yourself a break, your a wonderful person going through so very difficult times that not everyone can withstand.

Know we are here for you so your NOT alone! Love you girl. t5063.gif

It truly is. They set us back a week and were an expedited case. So obviously there's a reason were being expedited. And I just can't believe they did this. However I am grateful to God that I am finally finished with NVC. I keep coming back to this thread because I want to see everyone else with October dates get their case complete as well. I am rooting for all of you :)

Your a sweet heart. t5063.gif

Thanks soooooo much for your thoughts and prayers they are greatly appreciated!!! Yes this AP is a nightmare that we just want to wake up from....currently i'm refusing to email them, because in the past it's only been updated whenever i email them, but then the status doesn't change. So i want them to really work on it...I don't know or understand what's the hold up, but i don't want them to update it, just because they had to, because i sent them an email. Calling does nothing too...so it's just a waiting game. Until it says issued, it's skype and occasional international trips...i'm really disappointed in our immigration system, it's just a sad story for a lot of us...I pray everyone here gets their "issued" before the end of this year...Inshallah Allah Bless Us All...because our only crime is LOVE.

Your very welcome sweet heart and I feel the same way about the system and the people that work in it. I always thought being a US citizen would at least give us the certainty to be treated with respect but I was wrong. And yes our crime was falling in love. Sad this would be treated as a crime, praying you get out of this nightmare very, very soon. t5063.gif

Thanks everyone for the words of support and the birthday wishes...and congrats to those who've received good news! I'm always praying everyone gets their visa in hand, and their butts on planes to their forever homes!!! Best Wishes to ALL and Have A MERRY CHRISTMAS....even if it is on SKYPE!!! :wub:btw...my husband made me the sweetest video montage with our pics...it's really beautiful, and it really shows how much he loves me...awwhhh it's nice to see us together so in love and looking so sweet together...he really is awesome and my best friend...I always thank Allah for bringing him into my life! what an awesomely sweet birthday gift!

Awww your so sweet and Merry Christmas to you and yours and yes Skype it is, imagine NO Skype!

How sweet of your husband to do that, mine can't even if he wanted to I have an aversion to having my picture taken, I really hate it.

graphics-christmas-reindeer-910371.gifgraphics-christmas-reindeer-808473.jpg

My hubby had his interview today! I don't know if this is considered an approval or not, but they said that he will receive his visa after he completes his injections and submits phone records....He said that the interview part went very well...Is this considered an approval?

127fs2361263.gifsmiley-happy093.gif127fs2361263.gifWooooooo Hoooooooooo yes as long as he does as they say. Sweet wonderful news just have him do it as soon as possible.

Salaam alaikum Dearest Natasha ~

I loved your message. Happy Birthday to you, hoping and praying that your wishes come true.

I'm also making some special prayers for you and all those in the AP nightmare, God Willing we all have our loved ones here with us soon.

~ Sofi

God bless you for all your prayers. t5063.gif

ugh finally got the checklist email. the stuff they told me over phone was incorrect. so sad

-they want my passport biographic page (which i already sent). Over the phone (two times) they said they needed my passport picture (which i already sent as well)

-They need the joint sponsors proof of employment. Over the phone (twice) they told me they needed my wifes proof of empoyment.

UGH I dont even know what to do now. I am just done with this.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO you can't be done you have to get all the stuff they asked for lies or not and it happened to me and send it to them. Just take a deep breath and do it cause your the only one that can. If you wait we wait together, so go to it don't want to wait forever. t5063.gif

Thank you Soloenta for your prayers. You and everyone else in VJ and especially this thread are in my prayers. I am sorry for those facing additional setback on getting your loved ones home. I congratulate everyone who no longer have to deal with NVC. And for others like me who still feel like our CC day will never come, its time to have faith, be strong and just breath, and "wait and hope". You are not alone, and this moment will past. One day this will be like a dream in the past.

Your very welcome sweet heart and well said it will come and it is like a dream and you will feel lighter. t5063.gif

Got my welcome email today and already NVC is trying to make me cry.

The welcome email was issued in my maiden name, not my married name. All of my identification is in my married name.

Additionally, I went to log in to CEAC and got told "Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please contact the National Visa Center if you believe that you have received this message in error. "

So I called. It took me over an hour to get to talk to a person. The person's response (I think her name was Lee?) was "Oh, well, it doesn't matter what name we're using for you on your welcome email. And you should be able to get into CEAC without any issue, right now. You must use Internet Explorer, it doesn't work on macs."

So I get off the phone miserable because my brand new computer isn't going to work for this process. I tell my wife. She tries to log in to CEAC on Internet Explorer.

She gets the SAME MESSAGE.

So I am now on hold for the second time tonight.

Met in 2010 on a forum for a mutual interest. Became friends.
2011: Realized we needed to evaluate our status as friends when we realized we were talking about raising children together.

2011/2012: Decided we were a couple sometime in, but no possibility of being together due to being same sex couple.

June 26, 2013: DOMA overturned. American married couples ALL have the same federal rights at last! We can be a family!

June-September, 2013: Discussion about being together begins.

November 13, 2013: Meet in person to see if this could work. It's perfect. We plan to elope to Boston, MA.

March 13, 2014 Married!

May 9, 2014: Petition mailed to USCIS

May 12, 2014: NOA1.
October 27, 2014: NOA2. (5 months, 2 weeks, 1 day after NOA1)

you are really the sweetest!

I called NVC and got one of the nicest CSRs (nicole). She listened to me and connected me with a supervisor (Liam). I went through everything with im. I told him how they told me they needed my passport picture but now they are saying they need the biogrpahic data page. He was nice, he said he will review the file and call my wife. Didnt say when. I am hoping he closes my cases. Please god let it happen!!! I will be so happy.

Also a positive note: I think i read the checklist wrong, he said that they dont need my joint sponsors proof of employment, just my wifes, which i sent. So at least I dont have to hunt for that

Pray for me!!! maybe a christmas miracle will happen and they will give me a CC

Don't be scared of that message, it's normal. When your case is entered fully in the system, you'll be able to log in just fine.

Thanks. The first woman I talked to told me it was impossible I should be getting that message! Absolutely impossible! Unless I was using a different browser!

And the second woman actually looked at the system and said 'oh, yeah, I'm getting that too. Give it until Tuesday.'

That first woman meant that I wasted two and a half hours of my evening rather than just one.

Others had Mac and it worked fine and your not supposed to use Explorer since that huge hack problem they had with it. So don't worry just relax take a load off and check daily until you get in. :Dt5063.gif

Hi everyone

POE yesterday at LAX. Took 15 minutes at 6.30 in the morning. Bit of an anti climax really. Didn't even say Welcome to America. No questions, nothing. Just went through normal immigration with children on their US passports, then they took me to a waiting area. We were the only ones there. 10 minutes later took fingerprint of index finger, signed a Form, guy took papers to his window and then called me and gave me back my Passport stamped. Waited 16 months for that. We fly up to New York tomorrow and then drive home on Saturday morning.

Thank you so very much to all my VJ friends. I will still be coming here to keep up with how you are all doing.

Oh Soloenta

I have just logged on first time in a few days and have seen the wonderful news.

My very sweet friend, I'm thrilled it was an easy entrance to your new home. Would have been horrible if after all this torture you would have had more problems there. He should have said Welcome to the USA but it's just a job to them. I'm so immensely thrilled your finally home safe and sound with the little ones. More so that the torture is done, over forever!

Did you get to do anything in L.A? Disneyland or were you all to tired to do anything or not enough time?

Yes, I still can't believe it, I wake up and smile and think don't have to call NVC today and it's a great feeling. Oh and I have actually slept for the last two days hahaa. Please don't stop praying that we don't get put in AP, it's what scares me the most.

Love you Girl congratulations on your easy POE and have a safe journey home tomorrow. :Dt5063.gift4582.gif

Just got off the phone with NVC after waiting a half hour on hold. I spoke to a nice lady (sounded young, don't remember her name) and she told me they're constructing a letter to send me. Everything looks fine--but! Problem with the AOS. She couldn't tell me what it was. She said I should expect a letter in 3-5 business days. So, basically after Christmas/week of New Years.

I'm so down. I tried so hard to make all the docs perfect, but the AOS confused the hell out of me. I hope it's a simple fix whatever it is.

The worst part about the visa process is you can't even make plans for your life. You don't when your family member is coming so you can't make big plans like for jobs, houses, etc. I know and I understand why we have these procedures in place but it's just so sad that it takes so long and makes things so hard on people. :(
