Fantastic news!! Did you call and confirm the CC or did the web page show up as N/A?? Also were you a checklist or did you documents get scanned in on the 23rd? Trying to figure out if I should call or not since I'm a 1st time filer on the 23rd scan date :)

Congrats to you!!

Thanks greatly! I am grateful to God. I saw the webpage show up as N/A. I tried calling them many times without success. I am confident that it the Case complete. Yes, I was checklisted on 10/17. I resent the corrected form on 10/20, then got the notification from NVC that my documents was received on 10/23. So scan date was 10/23. I think you should place a call if you can reach them. I am also confident that you will hear something from NVC latest by the end of the week . You are more likely to have case complete than any checklist. Reason being it appears they send the checklist way earlier than CC. I hope I answered your question.

I saw that about interviews too. I don't understand. Are there only certain times they schedule interviews? I thought it was just as the info comes into the embassy. :/ I keep checking the CEAC site several times a day even though I shouldn't. CC coming soon I hope..

Yes, the NVC/embassies only schedule interviews at certain times, not as they come in. They usually start scheduling the last two days of the month (weekdays only) and the first week of the new month. One VJ member was told that they will start a second round of interviews this week so hopefully I make it for a January interview.

Here's an example: NVC started scheduling interviews the first week of December but Egypt barely starting scheduling today. NVC sets up the interview for us BUT the embassy is the one that decides when they begin to schedule and what dates they give. In this particular part, NVC is just the middle man, the embassy has control of setting a date.

Seriously these NVC ppl make me crazy! I hate how u get a different answer depending on who u speak to. Spoke to Lydia on Thursday (super nice) and she said since we are expedited they will send our case directly to embassy and that nvc will still be scheduling interview. I told her I'd heard embassy schedules in expedited cases. She said no.she also said we would have date within one-2 weeks. Again bc of Exp. Call today and get ivy. Nice but doesn't seem too bright I ask if it's left she says yes then oh wait..NO. then isso who schedules and of course she says embassy will call hubby.

So which is it?? No clue!

Hey there! My case was also expedited at the embassy level. The same day we had our CC (last Friday), my husband - the petitioner- received an email from NVCExpedite stating that they're sending my file to the embassy and NVC has no longer to deal with that.

I wrote to the embassy here in Brazil and they replied saying that as soon as my file arrive there they'll schedule an interview. So I guess that you'll pass through the same with me (unless the embassy where you're aplying is different).

I'm now looking at my status to check when it changes from "in transit" so it means they've sent to brazil.

Good luck with your case, hope we can get soon and good interview dates!

Thank you so much for your response. We were in contact with Bill Nelson's office but our case worker didn't seem to know the process and doesn't seem to want to help, despite saying she would.

I am waiting on a note from my daughter's doctor to ask for an expedite -- she is experiencing a lot of distress since our family was split up. I can't imagine they will say yes, so any help from a Senator would be appreciated. My MP in the UK has written to the US Ambassador here but who knows if that will help.

Come on Soloenta's case :jest:

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

It is with great new toy that I announce that my case was completed today. Scan date 10/23. Thanks VJ members. You guys are truly helpful and encouraging. I guess I have to wait for the interview to be scheduled. Btw, does anyone knows how long it takes for for NVC to schedule an interview from case complete?

CONGRATULATONS my dear, hope you get an interview earlier so you will be on your way. great news to start the week with.

This is the greatest lesson a child can learn. It is the greatest lesson anyone can learn. It has been the greatest lesson I have learned: if you persevere, stick w/it, work @ it, you have a real opportunity to achieve something. Sure, there will be storms along the way. And you might not reach your goal right away. But if you do your best and keep a true compass, you'll get there. Edward M. Kennedy,

Thank you sweet heart and I'm praying all goes well so you can get your Visa and come home at long last. God only knows how much we have all suffered and I pray he helps us all finish this process without more damage done.

No nothing yet I think they are waiting to get everyone else through and are holding on to our files. I know paranoid but I just can't help it anymore.

t5063.gif

Love NVC! They make me so happy! This morning I am told they have no record of my expedite request that I should send it again. Now I get an email telling me that the embassy is requesting additional information as my pdf attachment was not attached. This is the second time being told my pdf attachment was not attached. The question is, do I resend the attachment yet again? Or do I just say F*** it because the embassy emailed me this morning telling me they had to regrettably deny my request as they are scheduling interviews several months out and do not have the resources at the moment.

I seriously have a migraine coming on.

I don't know what to tell you but I'm so sorry for this mess. I would be afraid to suggest anything to anyone at this point it's like walking a mined field dealing with any immigration dept. :( Praying this all works out for the best. t5063.gif

Soloenta: I read on the interview thread that Egypt started scheduling interviews today, so hopefully you get CC by tomorrow and you get an interview in January as well! YAY!!!!

Thank you sweet heart but I'm totally out of home for our case. Now news is it's taking the Embassy in Cairo months to schedule interviews so it doesn't matter one way or another. :(t5063.gif
