Thank you so much for the information and I don't think so I haven't had any luck with immigration and I don't think it will change any time soon. I know at other threads people are getting interviews about a month after CC. This whole thing is very confusing and completely disappointing. :( I should have known better. t5063.gif

I tried my best to prepare myself, but despite how many times I told myself not to get my hopes up, I was still extremely disappointed our request was denied. Reason being, they are several months behind on interviews and do not have enough resources to handle expedites at this time. It's very unfortunate, as now I am faced with the tough decision as to whether or not I can place my grandfather in some type of facility because there is no way I can continue to provide the level of care he needs for several more months.

10/14/2014 – I-130 packet signed for
10/15/2014 – Priority date assigned
10/19/2014 – Acceptance confirmation email received

It is with great joy that I announce that my case was completed today. Scan date 10/23. Thanks VJ members. You guys are truly helpful and encouraging. I guess I have to wait for the interview to be scheduled. Btw, does anyone knows how long it takes for for NVC to schedule an interview from case complete?

On that note the Embassy should be at normal it's been a very long time since they were closing the Embassy for no reason at all but to take a few days off since they were not in any danger.

I'm so very sorry for the situation with your grandfather I know it must be very difficult to decide to put your GF in a facility and wish your other family members would step up to take over maybe switching ever few days to give each other a rest. But I know to well that they will avoid the situation and go about their lives. God bless you for the time you gave him and the care you took to keep him well and safe. t5063.gif

Fantastic news!! Did you call and confirm the CC or did the web page show up as N/A?? Also were you a checklist or did you documents get scanned in on the 23rd? Trying to figure out if I should call or not since I'm a 1st time filer on the 23rd scan date :)

From timeline (NVC since May) I am inclined to believe it's a checklist and/or single package... but that's still GREAT news! I am crazy busy with work once again, which is actually pretty good for my mental health right now. Let us know if you call!!! If I call at all today I think it'll be right before they close... but I'll try to hold until tomorrow. No promises. :lol:

Darn - I went to look at their timeline and saw that only a bit was filled out so wanted to make sure (and hope it wasn't a checklist) - I'm happy they are clearing out the checklists - don't get me wrong, but still would be hopeful that they start looking at the ones that have submitted their first round as well. I'm not going to call today - I've told myself let them have a good working day to perhaps get through to our dates. Tomorrow is my cleaning day so I am at home all day anyways and can call as soon as they open. I'm hoping to get Tod like I did last time who was super nice and hope he brings me a bit of luck! (L)

Just checked in back to see if soloenta has a cc. I hope u get it today or Tomm soloenta iA. I sent the AOS today finally. It will reach the embassy on Tuesday. Praying that now they don't find anythbig wrong with it and approve it. Me and my husband are frustrated beyond words :cry:

Hi VJ friends, just checking in. We have finally booked our flights and our POE will be LAX on 22nd Jan. Now, we have 6 weeks to pack up and get ready to leave Australia.

Wishing you all the very best as you get through this lengthy process. I promise it will all be worth it and it will happen eventually. We started this journey 18 months ago thinking it would take 6 months, so there have been some difficult times as our life has been on hold. It all seems like a distant memory now that we can start the next chapter of our life.

Soloenta, this has to be your week!!! And Samreen, your good news must be coming too.

I really hope so Amanda. They have tortured us beyond limit really.

OMG my AOS changed from PAID to N/A!!!!! I checked this morning and nothing and i checked again (twice of course lol) and it has now changed to N/A. I cannot get through to NVC (called 20 times already) but as soon as I do, i will confirm with you all!

I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY RIGHT NOW!!!!!! God truly hears prayer.......thanks to my Lord JesusChrist for this blessing! Thank you to Saylin for your wonderful WiKi and to everyone on here who either answered questions, gave me a boost of confidence or just listened to me vent! Thank you to everyone :)

Last scan date: Oct. 21 for both packages, no checklists!

Love NVC! They make me so happy! This morning I am told they have no record of my expedite request that I should send it again. Now I get an email telling me that the embassy is requesting additional information as my pdf attachment was not attached. This is the second time being told my pdf attachment was not attached. The question is, do I resend the attachment yet again? Or do I just say F*** it because the embassy emailed me this morning telling me they had to regrettably deny my request as they are scheduling interviews several months out and do not have the resources at the moment.

I seriously have a migraine coming on.

USCIS

10/11/2014 – Mailed I-130 packet to the Chicago Lockbox
10/14/2014 – I-130 packet signed for
10/15/2014 – Priority date assigned
10/19/2014 – Acceptance confirmation email received
10/20/2014 – Check cashed
10/24/2014 – Received I-797C (NOA1)
10/27/2014 – Faxed the USCIS expedite packet to the Senator's office
10/29/2014 – Expedite request sent to USCIS from the Senator's office on my behalf
11/05/2014 – USCIS approved I-130 petition
11/07/2014 – USCIS sent case to the NVC for processing
11/08/2014 – Received I-797, Approval!!! (NOA2)

11/11/2014 - Emailed the NVC Expedite Packet to the Senator's office
11/12/2014 - Expedite request sent to NVC from the Senator's office on my behalf
11/12/2014 - NVC received case from USCIS
11/28/2014 - Received confirmation email from NVC, expedite request was received and is being processed
12/09/2014 - NVC Case number assigned
12/10/2014 - NVC Welcome letter email
12/10/2014 - Submitted form DS-261
12/11/2014 - AOS fee invoiced
12/12/2014 - AOS fee submitted
12/15/2014 - AOS fee shows paid
12/16/2014 - Sent AOS and IV packets

12/17/2014 - Embassy denied expedite without a reason, informed over the phone by Hazel from NVC

Soloenta: I read on the interview thread that Egypt started scheduling interviews today, so hopefully you get CC by tomorrow and you get an interview in January as well! YAY!!!!

I saw that about interviews too. I don't understand. Are there only certain times they schedule interviews? I thought it was just as the info comes into the embassy. :/ I keep checking the CEAC site several times a day even though I shouldn't. CC coming soon I hope..
