Hi VJ friends, just checking in. We have finally booked our flights and our POE will be LAX on 22nd Jan. Now, we have 6 weeks to pack up and get ready to leave Australia.

Wishing you all the very best as you get through this lengthy process. I promise it will all be worth it and it will happen eventually. We started this journey 18 months ago thinking it would take 6 months, so there have been some difficult times as our life has been on hold. It all seems like a distant memory now that we can start the next chapter of our life.

Soloenta, this has to be your week!!! And Samreen, your good news must be coming too.

So very happy your doing so well and are getting ready to totally end this nightmare and going home. How exciting I can't even imagine how it would feel and believe me I have tried. Thank you for your uplifting words most people don't come back and I don't blame them . But thank you for remembering us in such busy days and joyous times. God bless you and your family, please come back let us know before you leave to say a prayer for a safe journey home.

Thank God Samreen has her Visa just a little bump in the road until she gets her AOS to them then all done! I just checked and nothing yet hahahaa seems sorry had to laugh that will never happen and I'll be here forever.

Visa in hand with the package I wonder what is in there ! after long 19 months alhamdullah

First things first so to the thread happy to have you join us. oy do we all know exactly how you feel and I'll be praying you don't get a checklist either. God willing this will be your last time on NVC.

The waiting is the worst part but we are here to help you out and a place you can feel free to complain, cry and anything else including being joyful. I'll be praying all goes well for you and soon you will be out of this nightmare.

Would be nice, if Austin was here and he's not he has abandoned us hehehee he would say they never do, but would be so wonderful if they did.

I agree on all counts hope they are going faster not just throwing out dates.

Don't be sorry my dear that is what this thread is for, if it helps you feel better or make you happy post it here. We know exactly how you feel and we have all feel that depth of despair you have believe me. It doesn't seem to matter how long you have been waiting for this nightmare to end the feeling is the same when your away from your loved one. It is truly describable and beyond painful, words just can't express what our hearts feel. Many of us were stuck at USCIS for ever some of us for more than a year then to find the 2 to 4 weeks to review had become 60 days of despair. I'll also be praying you don't get a checklist and this end sooner than you think.

Oh and yes your not alone, I have spent three days in a row and the rare four without any sleep and we have the added burden of having to most likely go through AP administrative approval for God knows how long. One of my worst fears, I take Benadryl if to many days go by without sleep, it's non addictive and works for me.

omg i cant believe how long you have come, i thought i was the only one who has gone pass 16 months and still no CC, but everything works out in the end. am sooo happy you will be with your loved one soon, the way is suppose to be. please enjoy each and day and make each day count. stay bless. you have giving me Hope.

Yes, it took 16 months to get CC. We have spent the last 2 months selling our house, as we were not willing to risk selling too early and have nowhere to live or have to get locked into a rental contract.

Wow congratulations. We only sent the i130 in May, and the AoS and IV in October. We are hoping for a CC, and have our house listed on the market at the moment as well. Hoping for a good happy ending like you have
