hi guys!! congrats on the recent CC as you all know I got a CC a couple weeks ago and my status changed to N/A during the afternoon so dont loose hope. Ive been kind of away from my computer because well I am extreamly super duper busy with work.. Our interview its Jan 28 we already got our plane tickets, booked the hotel and ill make an appoiment for my medical and biometricsnext week. Just for other fellow mexicans here, you guys know that to get to Juarez its kind of complicated, at leats for me that im from the north of Mexico, (Sinaloa) flights are very limited. My dad will be going with me and we will flight to Mexico City then Ciudad Juarez, so expensive too. 1k round trip.. Anyways im gonna see my hubby tomorrow after 2 months and hopefully it will be the last time we say goodbye, after over 40 times.. I keep you all on my prayers!! God bless (L)(L):luv::luv:

I checked that out too regarding flights and they are limited for me as well. We plan to fly Volaris so that has direct flights to CDJ. It amazes me that with CDJ being the only consulate available and the busiest they do not have more flights. Oh well!

 God's timing is always perfect. . . :star:"Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!" (Luke 1:45) ^_^

My case hasn't been reviewed yet  oh well... had to try! I got a very nice man on the phone though, which was a big plus. I didn't catch his name. They told me they received my mail Oct 24 (??? Oh well, I guess no one knows ) and that he was sorry he didn't have any good news for me but I should "expect it very soon", most likely next week. Eh, nothing lost!

On the bright side, no bad news, and I can stop checking CEAC until tomorrow... or Monday... maybe.

We have the same scan date 10/24. I'll be hung to your neck, not literally, but like for real. Lol i can't wait to find out. The thought of possibly getting a checklist kills me inside. Idk what i'd do with myself if i have one. Hubby and i have been praying on skype like a pastor and a dedicated church member for weeks now that we don't get one.

Ugh! Monday won't come soon enough. Is NVC working on Saturdays to reduce their backlog?

Hahaha  and I to yours! Welcome to the thread! You'll probably get the official welcome .gif from Soloenta later ;)NVC DOES do overtime on Saturdays (yes, guys, believe me they do open some Saturdays. I don't know if adjudicators actually "approve" cases on Saturdays, maybe not, but SOME people work OT). I don't actually know how many hours and I doubt it's an every Saturday thing. We've seen members who noticed the CEAC portal turned to N/A on Saturday, but that might be a late Friday approval... who knows. I know I'll be checking tomorrow!

I don't know how I'm going to make it to Monday. :bonk:

Sent off IV Package on 10.17, hubby called NVC& said we'll get a response either CC or checklist on 12.21.

They said 12.21? That's oddly specific... and it's a Sunday. Weird! I think you should have news this coming week. Maybe they're quoting 55 days is what comes to mind! That would be an improvement over 60...

Just when i thought it was all about to end... I find myself browsing through the posts on this forum at 2 a.m. with absolutely zero sleep in my system; and then i realized i'm not the only one, i'm not alone.

My husband and i met in HS. We started dating and got engaged right after i graduated(he graduated 3yrs before i did). Then i got a scolarship to study in the U.S. That's how it all started, 7 years ago.

During the 1st 6 years of being away from each other, we were unable to meet due to some details that i'd rather not get into. And then early this year, we finally met and got married. Aww, it was the sweetest moment of my life. I got back to the U.S. thinking this is it!...i'm getting done with this long distance, long wait, horrible seperation we're going through by filling for him. Little did i know that we were indeed starting another chapter that would bring even more distress and sorrow to our relationship and now marriage.

I filled form I130 and got approved in less than 2 months. We were thrilled! We started celebrating with family and friends who were so relevead from the pain they felt going through this with us since it first started. I even started making plans in preparation to the party i was going to throw to introduce him to my friends here in the U.S. (now, i know you are probably laughing because having gone through this process you would know how pathetic i felt when i realized i was only 1/4th through the process of getting him over to the U.S.) Anyways, that's when i found out about the NVC.

I first recognized this stage was going to be hell when USCIS said they sent my case over to NVC and it took about a month for NVC to acknowledge that my file was sitting somewhere on its premises. And then when they found it, it took them another month to register it in their system. I didn't really care while all that was happening, because i was busy going through the citizenship application and process. Once i became a citizen, i sent a letter to NVC kindly asking them to upgrade my petition to reflect the recent change in my U.S. status. This upgrade took 3 good months to happen - exactly 89 days. And then came the day when i thought finally, this is the end...nothing else can happen that will create so much stress in my life; this was the day i received the notice that says the NVC received you visa application and will work with you to complete your relative's case and schedule their interview. I immediately jumped on the computer and filled out ds260, i later paid my AOS fee, printed the receipt and mailed my the documents i had been preparing for months (AOS and IV packages). Then i get an email a couple days later saying it will take AT LEAST 60 days for them to review the documents and get back to me. I thought it was a mistake at first because it stated 2-4 weeks on the CEAC webpage, so i called the NVC to inquire about it and they started singing the song to me (i swear it sounded and still sounds something like "oooh 60 days, lalala 60 days, aaaawoooouh 60 days...")

Today, we are 11 days away from the 60 days and boy, considering how far we've come, i know there should be some kind of joy or relief knowing that they will soon review my packages. But no, what i feel is rather a feeling of disgust, one that i wish i could accurately describe. The thought of possibly getting a checklist and having to wait another 60 days terrifies me. I am anxious, scared, helpless, hopeless, and everything else that goes in the same line.

And i sit in front of the computer at 2 a.m. on a fine Saturday morning, wondering how the hell am i living this nightmare without ever even falling asleep...

Sorry for the lengthy post, i find it easier these days to write than to cry.

ok...

So i was in hold with NVC through Skype for 40 minutes when finally Jake got my call. I was about to give him all the info about my case when my husband call me on facetime and guess what? Skype TURN OFF MY FREACKING CALLLLLLL :ranting:

As if my life needed more drama.

So, I called again (husband was still at work, so we decided I'd call and he would just wait QUIET for my call back) :clock:

30 minutes later Max got my call and when I asked:

"I wonder if you have any news about my case?"

He said:

"well, we received and accepted all your docs, now just waiting for a interview to be scheduled"

I was like

"Wait..so do I have a case complete?" (I need to hear that)

he said "Yes m'am!"

I wa slike "MAX YOU BRIGHTENED MY DAY, HOPE YOUR FRIDAY BE ### GOOD AS MINE WILL BE!"

he laughed, thank me and said "Glad I could bring some good news to you."

OMG CASE COMPLETE AS OF TODAY, 12/12/2014

Checklist Scanned on Oct. 21st.

Saylin, Soloenta, jcruzazucar, S&A, mccartna and all the others who are always here to answer our doubts and support our craziness: BIG HUGE THANK YOUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now if you allow me, celebration dance:

graphics-dancing-404721.gif

congratulations my friend, hope you get an interview date soon, so you can be on your way. :dancing: :dancing: :dancing: :dancing: :dancing: :dancing: :wow::wow::wow:

This is the greatest lesson a child can learn. It is the greatest lesson anyone can learn. It has been the greatest lesson I have learned: if you persevere, stick w/it, work @ it, you have a real opportunity to achieve something. Sure, there will be storms along the way. And you might not reach your goal right away. But if you do your best and keep a true compass, you'll get there. Edward M. Kennedy,

Don't be sorry my dear that is what this thread is for, if it helps you feel better or make you happy post it here. We know exactly how you feel and we have all feel that depth of despair you have believe me. It doesn't seem to matter how long you have been waiting for this nightmare to end the feeling is the same when your away from your loved one. It is truly describable and beyond painful, words just can't express what our hearts feel. Many of us were stuck at USCIS for ever some of us for more than a year then to find the 2 to 4 weeks to review had become 60 days of despair. I'll also be praying you don't get a checklist and this end sooner than you think.

Oh and yes your not alone, I have spent three days in a row and the rare four without any sleep and we have the added burden of having to most likely go through AP administrative approval for God knows how long. One of my worst fears, I take Benadryl if to many days go by without sleep, it's non addictive and works for me.

Hi VJ friends, just checking in. We have finally booked our flights and our POE will be LAX on 22nd Jan. Now, we have 6 weeks to pack up and get ready to leave Australia.

Wishing you all the very best as you get through this lengthy process. I promise it will all be worth it and it will happen eventually. We started this journey 18 months ago thinking it would take 6 months, so there have been some difficult times as our life has been on hold. It all seems like a distant memory now that we can start the next chapter of our life.

Soloenta, this has to be your week!!! And Samreen, your good news must be coming too.

Thank you my dear!! I must say my day starter brighter today! I'm praying that soon all of us have the same feeling of happiness with us!

I'll be around to celebrate each and every CC with you guys!

Amen to that. it wouldn't be long my dear and there will be lots and lots of CC all over the place.

Edward M. Kennedy,

Yes, it took 16 months to get CC. We have spent the last 2 months selling our house, as we were not willing to risk selling too early and have nowhere to live or have to get locked into a rental contract.
