We lived in Hurghada straight across to Asyuit on the Nile just to give you where to look. Yes it was the wind that made it tolerable for my husband and I was dying every day Actually winter was mild we even needed a heater some nights. :D Wondering where you spend your honeymoon might have beenSharm El Sheikh? It was very calm there with not many people not like Cairo. If God willing I can go so I can accompany my husband back to the USA I want to visit Alexandria I didn't get a chance last time and I pray this time I can. It's been my life long dream to visit there. My husband almost got a job there but the company went belly up.

Heck I left the next day that I arrived in Minnesota and I'm not ashamed to say it. Literally thought I was going to die. Hahahaa I agree with the running then running back in your going to have to buy him a little trophy to present to him when he runs back in. :Dsmileys-happy-715315.gif

The thing I love so much about California is I'll be able to take my husband to the snow or beach or even Mexico. Mountains about 1 1/2 to 2 hours away, beach depending on traffic 30 mins to 1 hour and Mexico about maybe 3 hours away then there is San Francisco which I love 8 hour drive and Iove driving. :D

"Hahaha! Both our husbands ideas of cold are probably around 75 degrees fahrenheit.", I think your being way to kind hahahaa boy nice to talk to someone that can understand those crazy Egyptians Hahahaaa. My husband would laugh so much when I told him Egyptians are crazy because they refuse to walk on the sidewalk . I had to close my eyes when I crossed the street with my husband hahaa really crazy stuff. :Dt5063.gif

Awww thank you dear heart I appreciate you kind thoughts. :)t5063.gif

Same here but mine were mostly lies from NVC, they did ask me for my parents marriage certificate like that maters for AOS just more BS and hoops to jump through I guess. Well your in luck your very close like the rest of us God willing. Last scan date receiving CC is Oc 20, I have 22 and you 23 ed so many of us with you are God willing getting good news this or next week. Just pray and ask your wife to pray it really does work no matter your faith. God bless you and stay strong and we are here for you and your wife. :)

AND graphics-welcome-010883.gif to the thread. :Dt5063.gif

Thank you so much for your words of encouragement in this trying time

Hey there...I'm so sorry about your frustration and your wife's sadness...we are all here to support each other so the best thing I can tell you is:yes, there's light in the end of the tunnel. I've seen people here with all kinds of stories here who made through their visa journeys, and there are some others who are waiting in line, and believe me the sun shines to everyone. Soon your scan date will start to be reviewed and all the pain and suffering will only be a memory of the days which built you, your wife and your relationship stronger. Because a marriage that can pass through this kind of pain can handle any kind of thing and has such a unique beautiful story to tell. So hang in there, 'coz soon we'll all be breathing better. :)

Thank you so very much for your soothing and encouraging words. It has certainly lifted me up

you did we got the sun today, but still cold. Lol. Hope you are well today. And everyone else.

Awww thank you sweet heart, I have a very dear friend lives in the UK and all I can say is when isn't it cold and raining. Plus things are so expensive it's just not right. Wish we could send you some sunshine. :) Keep warm and dry my friend. t5063.gifsmiley-taking-christmas-tree-emoticon.gi

she is sooo right, that is Europe for me. things are getting hard now, i dont know if because am on maternity leave and i have no income coming in or what. any news from this people yet?

This is the greatest lesson a child can learn. It is the greatest lesson anyone can learn. It has been the greatest lesson I have learned: if you persevere, stick w/it, work @ it, you have a real opportunity to achieve something. Sure, there will be storms along the way. And you might not reach your goal right away. But if you do your best and keep a true compass, you'll get there. Edward M. Kennedy,

The journey around nvc is the most tiring but be encouraged, its only for a while...

Congrats pat on ur cc

Thank you, I truly hope so it's been a very long journey. graphics-welcome-010883.gif

So after Pat got a CC I decided to scratch the itch and give a call...

Thankfully I got a great, very nice guy who was thankfully chatty (works to my advantage!) - He said that we should be looking at a next week CC if all goes well (and then he did go into the downer of it being the holidays and how everything sloooows way down during Christmas because they are way understaffed). He did let the little secret out that he'd been working there for 2 years now and that mine and apparently another Swissie whose applied for their green card were the first ones he'd seen from Switzerland. He said because there isn't a lot of requests for my country that can help speed process up as well since they don't have to go through tough background checks (sorry to all of you that do fit into that category...heart goes out to you!!).

Let's have hope he's right and his 2 year experience will work in our favor. I will seriously dance around my house for hours until I pass out when I see that big beautiful CC!!

Your such a doll thank you for the great information I hope non of us misses out on an interview date. Kind of hope he's wrong and it's this week. :) one can hope.

:dance::yes::dance:

I just called NVC and spoke with Karla. She told me:

-No interview scheduled yet for us

- They have already finished scheduling interviews for the first part of January 2015.

- They will be scheduling round 2 of interviews starting next week.

So I guess we will need to wait until next week to find out IF we get a January interview. :clock:

SOLOENTA..........Praying you get CC soon! We got our CC right at 60 day mark but I remember alot of people with checklist got CC before their 60day mark. Good luck my friend!

Thank you my angel and thank you for all the information and if you get your interview next week will mean they have improved greatly from the past 6 to 8 months for an interview, wow what progress. I fear we wont have an interview if we even get CC until February but I should be grateful if we even get that. Thank you again my dear sweet friend. t5063.gif

I can't belive you are still waiting!! So ridiculous :( We are doing fine, booking our flights soon and will hopefully be back in the states for January because flights right now are just crazy prices with the holidays and everything! :)

Hope you're doing ok <3

Yes still waiting and it's embarrassing to be honest hahaa but what can I do ;). I'm so happy your doing well and yes the prices much be horrible so I know God is just making me wait cause he knows we can't afford the extra ridiculous prices before that. Remind us please when your flight is so we can say a prayer for your safe journey home. :)

I'm doing ok thank you so much for asking my friend and for coming back to check up on us. t5063.gif

Thank you so much for your words of encouragement in this trying time

Your welcome and it's my pleasure my friend. t5063.gif

I think they do here, that's just crazy if they don't what are you supposed to do? They give refugees money why not you! Governments suck and I mean all of them it's so pathetic how they treat us.

God willing things will get much better very, very soon my dear friend. :)t5063.gif

my work did for some months and after they stop, i was advice i have to apply for benefit , which is taking months to get now, have an interview on Monday for them to access if i qualifies, hopefully will get some money coming in. i took a year maternity leave, hoping by the time it ends i will be out of this place. going back to work next year. i know they all say empty promises, they promise but dont deliver. what a wicked world. stay bless my dear.

Hello folks, not sure if I can post this here. We have been waiting for a response to our expedite request for three weeks. I was under the impression it would take a few days to two weeks to receive a response. Anyone has been waiting too?

Links are on the very first post so there is a link there for when you get your CC but for now go to Saylin's thread http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/524875-nvc-filers-december-2014/ Good luck.

Ok so what's the next thread I should be looking at?
