Congrats on visa. You had a long run. Why didn't you wait a month more to do POE and receive 10 year green card though?

Thanks, it was a indeed a long run. I didn't wait a month because my husband had come down for the interview and couldn't stay for a month and I wanted him to be there when I did my POE; I was reading a lot of guides and somewhere it was highly recommended that the petitioner accompany the beneficiary for the POE. Also, my husband feared if we waited a month, then there would be snow and weather would have been difficult for travel. Another thing, my situation in my home country was terrible and I couldn't bear it a day longer. I am glad it happened when it had to. It's been a week now since I have come to the U.S. and I'm loving every day, I wouldn't have postponed my coming to the U.S. for anything. It was 28 degrees Fahrenheit the day I came and I am still getting used to the weather. If I had come when it were snowing, it would have been very difficult for me.

Ahahaha my wife is the same way and she's also not from California (or a man...). I'm the crazy one. My theory is that one of the two people in the relationship must remain sane and calm throughout this process or it'd be hell, can you imagine?

Hahaaa Sorry about that, sometimes I think all men are alike because I have always lived in a home with three men, two brothers and one father and they were all the same. They were the calms and collected ones my mother and I worried all the time, now my husband, 4Th cool and collected guy in my life.

oh Soloenta, yes i remember they asked for your parents' marriage certificate. It seems like a loooong time back, so I thought you must be done by now. hopefully, they won't take the full 60 days.

Yes indeed it feels like forever and a day, I have 16 days to reach their 60 penalty we shall see if we get a CC before that. I have seen some go over have a supervisor look into it and be quoted 42 days to look into it. God in heaven I pray that doesn't happen to us. So very happy to see your doing so well in the USA and you got out just in time it seems. They say God knows best when things are to happy, I see the saying is right.

Your very welcome should have done it much sooner and thank you so much for your kind words. I hope and pray its soon but all I can do is wait and see.

I can only imagine how busy you must be and waiting for the Visa and actually look at it and have it in your hands. WOW amazing my dear friend so thrilled for you and your loved one. I'm honored you remembered that I'm still waiting.

I've been following this thread and the other NVC December one for awhile. I dont post much on VJ unless I have a question or so, but I just wanna say congrats to the new CCs and good luck to all of us still waiting. Hopefully we'll all have a nice NVC Holiday Present full of more CCs and a Happy New Year full of interviews lol

My dear friend Soloenta! Hope u get CC soon. The Cairo embassy hasnt started scheduling interviews either. If u get CC next week u may get a Jan interview...you never know and may get a xmas miracle ? Praying for u!

40 days since my husband's interview. Still in AP. I've emailed the embassy twice asking for an update since they originally told us they would be in contact within 1 to 4 weeks, but they have not responded to either email. This is seriously killing me.

Maybe you need to call instead of emailng. So sorry you are still waiting, and I thought after the interview you had nothing to worry about. You must call them.

Must be that I need so many miracles God doesn't know which one to grant me. I'm praying that at least you get an early interview, I'm actually hesitant to feel I'm going to get any kind of break. See this is what scares me the most besides the interview, I'm so very sorry your going through all this it's just not fair. Can you call the Embassy or your husband? I find it odd they don't answer your e-mails. God willing soon sweet heart you will get great news.

Ohhh. I'm glad you like us, haha! Yes, our history is very rich and they're both really beautiful countries. Have you been here? I always tell people they're amazing places to visit, just not so much to live in. My wife and I went to Patagonia a few weeks ago when she visited and it was awesome. I think we'll do the North next time we come to visit my family.

Hey - I guess from your timeline it's an AOS checklist? They're doing those a little faster now. They're on 10/14 as of today (several people from 10/14 got CC) so probably/hopefully next week!
