A letter from the CEO of my company.

So, because he is a CEO, expressing political opinions is "abuse"? I see no threat stated or implied in his letter.

Well it was certainly an abuse of his role to say: Fact is, we are the largest group of ungrateful, spoiled brats the world has ever seen. No wonder the world loves the U.S. Yet has a great disdain for its citizens. They see us for what we are. The most blessed people in the world who do nothing but complain about what we don't have and what we hate about the country instead of thanking the good Lord we live here.

I would not appreciate working for a man who grouped me in with "ungrateful, spoiled brats, etc" when in reality I am unbelievably aware of lucky I am to live in a free country with all of the things that I have access to . . .

Well Kitkat I know that you understand just how good we have it here. And judging from a few of the comments here I think "ungrateful, spoiled brats" fits perfectly. To not be thankful of the tremendous gift our forefathers gave us is the biggest sin of all. It shows how consented and ungrateful we have become.

Gary, I think your confusing gratitude with servitude. As employees, you don't have to be grateful to your employer any more than your employer should be grateful for your service. You are paid for your work - your work makes them money...it's a two-way street. If your employer doesn't want to pay you what you are worth, which I realize we've gotten into this argument before, but...it is NOT entirely determined by the market, you have a right to gripe...hell YES! Unthankful my #######...sheesh...you think wealth is spread to the lowly from the wealthy out of charity...holy cow. When it comes to jobs, it's contractual - not emotional.

Just curious - have you ever belonged to a union?

HEHEHE!! You have no idea just how much fun I am having laughing at your stereotypical response! The company I work for (Advanced Technology Services) was founded by "#######" 12 years ago. He was in fact doing the very same job I am doing now only for Caterpillar. He and a friend borrowed some money and start their own business. Now he employs 5000 people. His mountain top is an office that is literally open door. I can in fact walk into his office at any time and have a chat. I have never worked for a company that pays me so well, treats me so well and is so open and inclusive.

Gezz what a loser your CEO is Gary. To build a company from nothing that now employs 5,000 people. He must have no clue.

Certain people claim that America is filled with underprivileged people yet fail to address or accept the true underlying causes such as these people's attitude / refusal to work, refusal to relocate, refusal to get their act together, refusal to stop blaming the government, convenience of using racism as an excuse and their overall constant blame game.

Just the other day I was speaking to someone who is a supervisor at a large national ship builder who said that even though their company is based in a predominately African-American region, they have an extremely hard time finding African Americans willing to work. When they conducted research on why this is the case, they found that a lot of them felt they where better off on welfare..

The bottom line is this: people want everything and they want it giftwrapped and NOW!

Lower taxes, more programs, less this, more that. I remember when I was a little girl I wanted to be a Judge and a Supermodel on my days off. Sounds just as feasible as some of the expectations of today.

There will always be something to complain about, but it's just the way you decide you wanna live your life. Gov't upsetting you? Guess what, you have a right to protest. Like actual protest, not online ones.

We do have it so good in this country, but everyone's so busy complaining. Yes, there are issues here as there will be anywhere...and if anyone finds utopia, then do let us all know.

This Admin is screwing up the Constitution so bad. It is called the patriot act. That has taken a lot of my civil rights away. If I want to open a bank account I have to show I am not a threat. If I check out books from the libary and they can get the records.

they can bust into your home with out a warrent now and arrest you and put you in jail and not tell you why..and can leave you as long as they feel like. They just say he was a terriost and keep him in jail.

So a lot of civil rights been taken away. they are tapping people phones, putting people on the 'no fly list' and they wont let you know why you on it.. the Homeland dept is the Bush admin. SS Nazi's

If only schools here taught kids to research the top 20 countries around the world, they would find that they already have similar or even tougher laws in place than the patriot act. Welcome to the 21st Century and being civilized.. I think you will find no other country has such an anything-goes style system.. Or a system where the government has to report 24/7 any security measures taken to protect its' citizens.
