authorization to work

Anyone have any information on the authorization to work for new fiancee arrivals to the U.S. I have heard that by flying into JFK New York, a person arriving on a k-1 visa can obtain an authorization to work permit rather than waiting until after marriage and several months later to obtain this authorization to work. Can this be obtained at any immigration office in the country or is JFK the only place that grants this authorization. I am trying to reach someone in immigration to answer this but it has been difficult.

If you can find a POE that gives the stamp on entry, your fiance will be work authorized until her I-94 expires (90 days). After that time, she will require the EAD card in order to keep working.

If you apply for AOS/EAD right after your marriage, the EAD card could possibly be in your hands before the temporary work authorization expires.

Any idea where i might find the POE's that issue the stamp???

JFK seems to be the only one that still does the temp ead. I arrived at JFK, got the ead, married 12 days later, filed aos and ead 14 days after marriage, got ead 84 days after filing. I had to stop working because my temp ead ran out, just over 3 weeks without work but am now working again. The sooner you file for aos and ead the quicker you will get them and maybe you will not have to stop work like i did. good luck
