Our dear Soloenta share this with us:

" For nasty NVC customer service Reps e-mail complaints you will be

doing us all a favor. Please also do the same to compliment them it's just as important.Ty.

NVCINQUIRY@state.gov Attn : P I Dept. ( in the subject line) TY "

About the 60 days...people are getting their CCS around their 50 to 55 days from the scan date...even if it's one tiny little page :/

Just breathe and accept the position we're in, believing that nothing is permanent, specially pain. :)

Of course you have every right to complain if you receive rude service from an NVC rep. However, complaints about the process itself are unlikely to get far. While I agree it is frustrating how unclear the process is and how long it takes, the US is going through a period of significant immigration reform right now which has led to big increases in the number of cases being processed by NVC, with no (or minimal) increases in staff levels there. Remember that NVC staff are people too, and likely just as stressed as we are: they now have massive amounts of work piling up on them through no fault of their own.

Another member wrote a post in last month's thread that gives some great insight into interacting with NVC staff - I suggest everyone take a moment to go and read it here.

The level of negativity in these threads is getting a bit extreme. Keep in mind this thread is supposed to be for progress reports and questions about the process - if you want to just blow off steam, there is a separate rant thread here.

Saylin, if you allow me,for peace of mind purpose, I'd like to ask for people who has their last scan dates between October 7 and 10 to just reply here. I've looked at your new 2014 spreadsheet and there's nobody there with those dates, so I wonder that's why this week will be apparently quiet for us here at VJ (few data to check the CCs..) and so we can breathe and believe tha people at NVC are working, even if we can't "feel" it.

Thank you and people from 7 to 10 Oct scan dates please show up. :)

Hi dwarrell I agree with what you said, I just shared the info so if he wants to give a try and complain it won't hurt right? :)

i was told that my case has been transferred to supervisor due to they have a doubt on my overseas police certificate, and now is being reviewed by the supervisor, and i got checklist email on this. shall i just send the correction now or i better wait to see the result. because i am worried if my case got completed finally after supervisor's review, will it slow down the processing time if i send the correction now?

If you find it, please share with us! Lol

But no...no reason to stress out calling so much or even being rude. My husband has the great skill of being nicer to the rudest people...one day after asking what he wanted with a not so nice rep at NVC he said "thank you for the info sir, I know how hard you've been working and how late is there, so appreciate it" I was listening and the tone of the guys voice changed and he gave a very -polite-imsorry-kind of good night! lol

Well what this guys are doing is ridicules. And Guess what we pay them a paycheck every month out of our taxes and be treated like #######.

I have been waiting on my case for a straight year cause a guy in NVC made couple of mistakes. I think I have all the right to be angry.

I just wish there would be someone that oversees NVC, there should be someone who manages these guys. I am looking to find out who is it ? Homeland Security ? USCIS? Congressman ?

Thanks.

They are stupid ppl that can't read couple of papers. They missed my police report in a 4 page mail. how do you do that? It took me 5 days and about 8 hours on the phone to get it corrected and not a single freaking sorry. If you think this is blowing off steam you are wrong, this is them being jerks which last I check they can't be to a citizen of their own country... My questions was is there a government establishment that I can go to for a complain. For investigating idiots like at NVC that couldn't care less about you or your situation. It takes them a freaking year to check 98 pages.

If anyone knows who these guys report to please let me know. I am even willing to hire my own attorney to open an investigation. Congresswoman is already on my case but NVC couldn't care less about a congresswoman which doesn't surprise me.

Thanks.

Not silly at all, scan date is the date NVC enters your AOS/IV etc into their computer system. So it may arrive today and scanned into the system in two three days etc so you start your count down to the 60 day waiting period that way you can gauge when to call for any questions you may have or to see if it's accepted or not.

Much luck to you. :D(F) (L) (F)

Thank you so much Soloenta.

My scan date was October 30th and I called the NVC today to check the status of my case. The operator told me that as of 11/26, my case was approved and will be forwarded to the embassy. I haven't received any e-mail or text. Is this normal?
