I just wanted to point out that unfortunately Saylin's excel document that documents your visa progress has a huge gap between the end of September and then the end of October. No one with scan dates

Hey guys I have a question. So I called and got the CC, I can see the AOS N/A but when I check the case status it shows AT NVC, it doesn't say READY. Can anyone tell me why ?

I'm not sure of what you are asking, but it took us 3 days from the date our DS-261 was reviewed and accepted, until we received our IV invoice. Even with the invoice, we are still not able to pay yet.

USCIS

10/11/2014 – Mailed I-130 packet to the Chicago Lockbox
10/14/2014 – I-130 packet signed for
10/15/2014 – Priority date assigned
10/19/2014 – Acceptance confirmation email received
10/20/2014 – Check cashed
10/24/2014 – Received I-797C (NOA1)
10/27/2014 – Faxed the USCIS expedite packet to the Senator's office
10/29/2014 – Expedite request sent to USCIS from the Senator's office on my behalf
11/05/2014 – USCIS approved I-130 petition
11/07/2014 – USCIS sent case to the NVC for processing
11/08/2014 – Received I-797, Approval!!! (NOA2)

11/11/2014 - Emailed the NVC Expedite Packet to the Senator's office

For those with Indian passports, do we have to include both the page with photo/passport no/issue date/expiry dates AND last page that contains parent's/spouse's name as part of Biographic page of Indian passport for NVC?

Congrats, what was your scan date for packages? Did it take the full 60 days for CC?

Hi all,

We are updating the AOS package since they have requested us to bring it to the interview. Our situation has changed since the time we sent the first package and the petitioner is living at her parents' house. Her father is the joint sponsor and we were wondering if he should use the I-864 or the I-864A form instead.

On Saylin's wiki you can read the following:

"The I-864A is used for household members of sponsors. Typically, the only time I recommend using the I-864A is for spouses of joint sponsors who are deciding to contribute their income as well. So, in these cases, the petitioner would file an I-864, the main joint sponsor would file an I-864 as well, and then the joint sponsor's spouse would file an I-864A."

But on the I-864 form you can read this:

¨Part 5. Sponsor's Household size

7. OPTIONAL: If you have siblings, parents, or adult children with the same principal residence who are combining their income with yours by submitting Form I-864A, enter the number here."

So, since the petitioner and the joint sponsor are living in the same house... Should the joint sponsor use the I-864 or the I-864A form?
