Hi all

I need help!!!

On October 3 I got a checklist for marriage certificate, and I sent it email in same day. I called last Friday nvc, they said on November 1 there is a new certificate requirement called "Certificate of Non-Conviction" in Jordan. However On November 10 I called nvc and asked about it. They told me it's not required for me because I sent me document before nov1. Until last week, every time I called I was told the only missing was my marriage certificate.

when I asked to speak to superviser she hanged up. THAT'S UNFAIR ???

What can I do?? I don't want to wait another 60 days. I'm lost

Moreover, I have a later from my state senator confirmed that the only thing missing was the marriage certeficate. but it was dated on October 29. So your advice please please

I just called now the rep said they haven't reviewed my case yet.

Any advice if I got a checklist.

How about you get the Certificate of Non-Conviction and submit it as soon as possible to avoid any further delays?

I've just checked CEAC and my AOS has changed to N/A. I couldn't believe it, so excited as this has meant case complete for others. I can't get through to NVC been trying most of the day today even before the N/A.

Packages sent together - Scan date 6th October

Day 56 of 60 days today called Friday and was told to call back this week.

God is good.

Chances are your case got completed a few days ago itself and you will know about it once you get a hold of NVC. Now its all about getting that interview appointment setup.

I told my wife to do it already, but I was looking to any way to avoid waiting another 60 days because this certificate new requirement. Why they told me about it last Friday while it's required on November 1.

The Problem is couldn't get in touch with supervisor.

I don't know

Hi, Perhaps I too am sailing in the same boat like you.

I got approved on Sept 20th, but not able to pay any fees yet. Haven't received the invoice. It is nearly 2.5 months!

Though I received Case number on 17th November.

No idea what is taking them so long!

Wow have you tried to NVC to ask what's going on? I feel like we being delayed for no reason.

Hi, my scan date is 10/23 for both packages. I know there are three others on this thread with scan dates of: 10/21, 10/23, and 10/24. With you, we are now 5 (so far).

Whoot! Don't forget about me! We'll take them all down with one fall swoop of CC's for us all...they'll think it's the best day because our papers were so easy and quick to complete!!:rofl:

No but seriously - lets hope for all of us a quick and safe (no CC's) rest of journey. Be sure to let us all know once you hear something!!

Hi again guys! ;) Really, reaaally hoping we all get some good news in about two weeks... the wait is getting harder as the date gets closer. In my case, the emails state docs were received 10/23 but reps said 10/24 so I'm going by that.

Hi,

I am new to this. I wanted to check if there is a path to complain on NVC. Who does NVC report to. Someone needs to keep these idiots in line.

And also second questions. After 60 review letter did anyone got their documents review sooner than 60 days ?

I send in the police certificate and it's only one page and morons at NVC can't take a look at 1 page.

I wish I can do something to fix this process. Anyone help...

thanks for this helpful point. I m one of those also who didi not know about this point. Thanks again for sharing.

OK, call me dumb if you all know this already, but I didn't realise there were two ways into the CEAC portal.

If you type in ceac.state.gov it will automatically bring you to https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/

On that page you'll see...

IMMIGRANT

  • DS-261, Online Choice of Address and Agent[/u,

    rl]

  • Fee Payment
  • DS-260, Online Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Application
  • Check My Visa Application Status
If you click those options you can then submit your case details and see your status, payment status for AOS/IV etc.

But if you go to https://ceac.state.gov/IVinstead, you get a different portal. You submit your case details there too, but the information is presented differently.

The reason I mention this is that I was watching the first one for the AOS "PAID" to change to "N/A" so I'd know I had gone Case Complete. But when I went Case Complete it didn't change - and still hasn't. It's only when I go through the second portal that I see "N/A" next to my AOS fee.

This probably isn't news to you guys, but I thought it might be useful in some cases.

Are there any tricks to have NVC take a look at your document ? Like call them 5 times a day or yell at them... anything? :clock:

Our dear Soloenta share this with us:

" For nasty NVC customer service Reps e-mail complaints you will be

doing us all a favor. Please also do the same to compliment them it's just as important.Ty.

NVCINQUIRY@state.gov Attn : P I Dept. ( in the subject line) TY "

About the 60 days...people are getting their CCS around their 50 to 55 days from the scan date...even if it's one tiny little page :/

Just breathe and accept the position we're in, believing that nothing is permanent, specially pain. :)

If you find it, please share with us! Lol

But no...no reason to stress out calling so much or even being rude. My husband has the great skill of being nicer to the rudest people...one day after asking what he wanted with a not so nice rep at NVC he said "thank you for the info sir, I know how hard you've been working and how late is there, so appreciate it" I was listening and the tone of the guys voice changed and he gave a very -polite-imsorry-kind of good night! lol
