I'm needing advice. The embassy contacted the NCV yesterday requesting documentation for my expedite request. I've been having an issue with the NVC not receiving the PDF document containing all of my documentation to support my request. It has now been sent to them on 4 separate occasions, twice by the senators office and twice by me. I called the NVC yesterday and the rep put in a service request for a supervisor to call me. She also advised me to hold off on sending any of my AOS and IV documents until the embassy has received the expedite documentation and has made a decision regarding the expedite request. She told me that if the embassy chose to approve the expedite request and I have already sent the AOS and IV documents to the NVC, the documents would be subject to the 60 day wait for review and could potentially delay my case getting forwarded to the embassy which defeats the purpose of the expedite. This is the first time I have heard this, everyone else I have talked to said that as soon as the embassy approves an expedite request, NVC immediately stops what ever stage of processing they are in and ships all the documents to the embassy.

I was planning on mailing the AOS and IV documents today. The though of losing a couple of weeks waiting for a response from an embassy that rarely approves expedites has me beyond anxious, but at the same time, if what the rep I talked to yesterday said is actually true and there is a chance my request could be approved, I'd hate to have delay everything because I sent the documents to the NVC.

My husband suggested I wait until I speak with a supervisor, but I'm not anticipating a call back. I have heard too many stories of people never getting called back.

For those that have had expedites approved, can you share your experiences? What would you do if you were in my situation? Would you send the documents or wait?

Ugh! All of this has me feeling sick to my stomach.

That is my scan date for aos checklist on part 6 line 13.a.1. I send in another aos cuz I realize attorney didnt add dependent. New scan date should be Dec 16 instead of Dec 11.

Hopefully we get out of this soon! .. i think they should have just requested it be taken to interview.

Hello all. Long time lurker. NVC received my civil documents on October 20 and AOS docs on October 23. Called this morning and still no news. Asked if anything had been reviewed and they told me no nothing has been looked at yet. Guess they are going by my last scan date which is the 23. Good luck to us all. Praying for a case complete before Xmas.

Hi everyone. I am getting an error message (The selected Case Number and Invoice Identification Number combination you entered does not match our records.) when I try logging in to check my NVC status at this URL: https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx

I have previously successfully logged in here several times in the last couple months. I am wondering whether the URL has changed? Or maybe this has happened to you and it means there is a problem? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Also - what is the best phone number to call the NVC about your case status and what information do I need to have on hand so they will give me an update? I keep trying the phone number listed on their website but it's always busy. Thanks!

Hi

I don't know where to begin. I am beyond devastated. I called NVC yesterday to see if our case was complete. They told me that a checklist was being processed for my wifes Taiwan police clearance. I told them my wife included that with the scan of the IV documents. They could not give me any details about it other than to tell me that they would put in a request for a supervisor review which could take up to 42 days. I asked if I could speak to a supervisor and of course none available. And if they could call me back if possible. I asked my wife about it and she showed me the clearance over the computer and said she included it.

This Taiwan clearance took forever to get also. It took my wife over 2 months to get back from the Taiwan government. So now by my calculation I might have to wait 42 days to hear back from a Supervisor wait another 2 months to get back another certificate. Wait another 60 days to go back to the end of the line. And then pray to not get another checklist. This is wrong. Very wrong. What can I do Should I write my congressman? What options do I have? I am so depressed.

Thanks in advance

Unfortunately NVC isn't on October 24th - there are still some of us lingering out there that are 23rd and below. The checklists that were scanned in on the 20th Oct are being reviewed but slowly they are getting to the cases that have just filed in that week (non-checklists). They only approved an Oct. 21st scan that wasn't a checklist and that is the first one I've seen them approve that wasn't a checklist.

Thanks for explaining. But I saw a lot of CC that had checklists and they got CC. Even the very last one on OCT 24th, He said he had a IV checklist and got completed. I just got off the phone from NVC and they said to call back in a week, My scan date is OCT 28. What is your situation, what is your scan date ?

OCT 28 2014 Scan Date for Police Certificate Checklist

Waiting for my CC.

DEC 19 2014 Case complete :dancing:

Dec 23 2014 Case complete Letter received :dancing:

Dec 29 2014 Interview scheduled for Feb 24 2015

Waiting for P4 letter.
