Hello everyone

my scan date was on 25 november

After about one week i requested to change the embassy wich my case was assigned to continue processing in to another one and my request got approved and the embassy informed that they will tell the NVC about the change..

the problem is that today i was trying to sign in ceac.state and I found out that my case number have changed ! Ofcorse due to the change in the embassy ,but Im worried now about this .. because all my papers and cover letters and documents wich i submitted to NVC had my old number!

my question will they still be able to recognise that this persone has two numbers ??!or will it be a serious problem?

NVC doesn't review the expedite requests. They forward them on to the consulate/embassy and they're the ones who make the decision. So, wait times will vary by country, and how busy they are as they need to review your case and make a decision. Then, once they do make a decision, they have to relay that information to NVC, who in turn, relays that to you.

Thanks Saylin, that was my understanding too, I am wondering how common is a three-week wait, Paris not being the busiest embassy.

As I always do I kept mine short and to the point, using my own simple words to explain our situation.

Make sure to include beneficiary's and petitioner's both date of birth, telephone and email addresses along with case# and any necessary proof that you think will help the consulate make a decision.

Anyone else waiting for a decision on their expedite request? Ours has been sent out over three weeks ago. I didn't think expedites took so long to receive a decision.

I'm still waiting also.

We sent the first request 11/12. It took almost 2 weeks for NVC to respond requesting names and dates of birth for the petitioner and beneficiary, along with 2 phone numbers and an address for the beneficiary. The information was all there in the cover letter I had provided, however, there was an issue with the senator's office and whether or not they remembered to include the cover letter and supporting documentation. Because the aid from the senator's office refused to resend the information because he insisted he sent it, I called the NVC and they walked me through where to provide all of the details so that it would for sure not be missed.

I resent the entire request on 11/25, on 11/28 NVC sent a confirmation email letting me know it has been received and it is being processed. Being a little impatient, I also emailed the embassy on 12/06 hoping to encourage them to review my request. No response yet. I have heard it can sometime take 4+ weeks for a response.

Hang in there! I know days feel like months when your in a difficult situation, but hopefully you will hear something soon!

Great that you were able to get things in working order with NVC. We also emailed the Paris embassy who not surprisingly told us to check with NVC for a status update. I called last Friday and was told basically nothing other than we have to wait.

From what I see, imse82 is checklist for IV package, buuut they're doing EP - another member (scan date 10/15?) mentioned the other day that they asked NVC and EP is currently a few days behind regular mail (sometimes it's faster, sometimes it's slower from what I've gathered).

AFS/AMM is AOS checklist, also doing EP. :) There's our answer, I think.
