hey sylin plz help me out in my caec site my aos fees status changed to N/A

i called and confirmed 3 times that my case has been completed on 5th December And today i got mail from NVC

its Check List Cover Letter It Is as follws:

plz somebody tell me whats this?

TIA

It is a checklist but as it says, you don't need to submit to NVC, but the beneficiary needs to take a new AOS form to the interview. So, congrats, you do have a case complete! Just make sure you take everything they're asking to the interview so it won't cause any delays. :)

Ps. Apparently they want a whole new form filled in black ink.

Did they say the case number was assigned on the 10th? Or were they perhaps referring to the DS-261? Either way, at least it went to incomplete the day after instead of a few weeks later, where it would really matter.

She definitely said the case number was assigned on the 10th. Maybe because it's the date of the welcome letter?

You're right, alhamdulillahm, it went to incomplete after just a day. She asked if we had gone back into the form after we had submitted it, as sometimes that can cause it to change even if no changes were made. I suspect my husband went back in after we submitted it. I resubmitted it this morning per her recommendation and got the same confirmation number as yesterday, hopefully there won't be any issues.

They are missing one of the page of the AOS.. you should send a new one to your applicant for interview.. your case is complete

It looks like the form wasn't filled out in black ink. Either fill it out online on your computer or fill it out in black ink.

And as it states in the checklist, you'll have to send it to the beneficiary to bring to the interview.

Did they say the case number was assigned on the 10th? Or were they perhaps referring to the DS-261? Either way, at least it went to incomplete the day after instead of a few weeks later, where it would really matter.

There is something I would like mention here. As u guys know that Nvc lost my joint sponsor's documents but the funny thing is I thought I never needed a joint sponsor. I thought the poverty guidelines go by current income and not by the gross income figure u have on 2013 tax return. My husband was employed in later part of year 2013 and that's the reason they asked for a sponsor. When he sent his sister's papers as joint sponsor I was tellig him not to do it cuz we don't need it. But apparently we did. So just wanted to tell u guys what they look at when it comes to financial requirements.

I think it's safer if you ask all your sponsors to fill and sign a new form and send it to you though mail.

And I don't think it will cause any trouble to your visa approval, once you take everything correctly. :)

Either she was reading it wrong or ya, referencing the welcome letter.

And yes, there were some issues a few months ago with people going back into the DS-261 and that resets it to incomplete. So, people were doing that near the 60 day mark, then it reset the clock to the beginning sometimes. So, tell your husband not to do that anymore as it can SEVERELY delay your case.

the AOS I know should be filled out in black but should it be signed in black as well? or blue?

That's up to you. I'm in the camp on signing in blue ink (so it appears to not be a photocopy), whereas others say sign in black ink.

The form has to be an original, if that's what you're asking. It can't be a photocopy with someone's signature.

They'll likely have to spend a bit of time on reviewing the new form. How long that takes, I don't know. It probably differs by consulate/embassy and how busy they are.

My joint sponsors are married and they requested the i864 A for my sponsors husband. We dont know why becuase my sponsor makes well over poverty alone.

I asked them about this yesterday, and they said I didn't need to get my farther in law to sign an I-864A as my mother in law makes enough money.

I might call later just to confirm.

yes they mainly focus on most recent tax income.. and if you didn't made sufficient they will ask for joint sponsor.. They will accept if you already started new job in 2014.. in order to consider that you need to provide confirmation letter from employer with updated I-864.

That's what I didn't know :( we did send them pay stubs and current income on 50k plus in AOS. But no letter from employer. That's y they just looked at 2013 income. Sadness. Now hopefully they will approve joint spinsor's AOS without any issue.
