Supervisors don't do anything. They nicely tell you to shut up and wait and provide what they requested. I have been talking to them many times.

Try to talk to a supervisor but I doubt they will be able to do anything. In your case I would try to overnight the doc and have the time rolling.

I believe you, I already sent it. The funny part I called NVC on November 10 and asked them about the new requirement. They told me it's not required in me case & don't send it ???

I'll try tomorrow to call supervisor and explain what happened. He may work with me. Hopefully ??

A similar thing has just happened to me. I called in to NVC to ask if they have received my checklist response. The lady I talked to said they received it November 17th. I assumed that meant that was the scan date. I then received an email from NVC last week stating that they received my response on November 24th and I should wait 60 days after that date.

You should be getting a notification email very soon, but expect it to say a later date than you were told while on the phone.

Have you called and asked about the 2 different dates? That happened to me back in october my scan date was sept 23rd but they were telling me it was oct. 3rd. I called and the guy told me it was a glitch and they fixed it... maybe yours is a glitch!

Yesterday I spoke with NVC. I am glad that they found our papers, but sadly, they have the checklist for us. -- minor changes on I-864. I looked at copies of I-864 three times and they looked fine. I wonder what they need us to correct on I-864. I will receive the checklist via email soon. When NVC agent said "Minor changes", it surely drives me crazy.

Questions:

1. How long will it take to receive the checklist via email?

2. Since I got a job, should I redo my I-864 without a joint sponsor? (I sent my joint sponsor's I-864 (brother-in-law) and my I-864 stating that I was unemployed (laid off due to downsizing company) for 3 months and zero amount was indicated and full amounts of each tax year so I got a new job and started working few weeks ago. My new salary from my new job is still much higher than amount that is on the poverty guidleine). Will my job offer letter suffice? or should I need an employment letter? Should I keep joint sponsor's I-864 and my I-864 until I give my new I-864 to my wife at the time of interview because I started working few weeks ago?

3. If I send the corrected forms, will they process for 60 days again? It would give me a big headache. My wife is in India and I am here in the U.S. We live apart for almost a year ---- toooooo long!! We miss each other a lot and miss lots of occasions. I was supposed to fly to India to see her for xmas, but I got a new job and now checklist. My first wedding anniversary will begin in few weeks.

I called and asked about interviewing schedule and they told me that now they schedule all month long. There is no such thing as first 2 weeks of the month. Which is good for us. Also they schedule interviews 4 weeks ahead. good luck.

Thank you so much. This gives me hope. Good luck to you as well. :)
