NVC Filers - December 2014

Hello All,

Joining this thread since I'm also a December Filer at NVC. Just completed my DS-260 today and mailed my AOS + IV Package on Friday. They received it today. Good luck to all! Hope this process won't take long..

Sorry to hear that! We are in the same boat!

We are the same, I had a checklist on October 3 for marriage certeficate, on December 4 I have another checklist for certificate of non convections.

I wanted to speak to supervisor to ask him to let me bring this certificate at interview specially it wasn't my mistake. Unfortunately, They put on hold for seconds and then said no sopervisor available. (There times trying)

Same thing here. The tracking info on my package said 'received 11/28' the rep said they scanned my docs on 12/1, and then i got a confirmation email that said my scan date was 11/28.

Thank God the dates they're telling me are not that far apart.

Thanks! Yes I remember reading about this before... I went back over November and late October and couldn't find anything.

Someone asked NVC CSR if they need to submit certificate of non-conviction because it's new requirement and the answer was NO and it will only be required for new cases.

Waiting here as well with everyone got a checklist on 10/9 for marriage certificate and responded same day and was given scan date of 10/14. Didn't want to take the risk and emailed the certificate of non-conviction in November (scan date 11/4). Hopefully will hear good news soon.

Thanks for the info. I remember reading that and that's why I didn't act on it thinking it will only apply to new cases. Obviously who ever reviewed my case today didn't agree that it only applies to new cases. I will try to call and ask for a supervisor.

I wonder if there is any other cases from Jordan with the same situation and if they apply the same rule across all cases or of it depends on the subjective evaluation of the specific reviewer.

You did the smart thing though by sending it as soon as you heard about this! Good luck!

This gives me some hope that I should hear something from NVC soon. My scan date was 10/28... I really hope I hear something from NVC next week or so.

If I get CC by January 7th, will I get interview date of February? Any idea when do they starting scheduling for interviews?

I called and asked about interviewing schedule and they told me that now they schedule all month long. There is no such thing as first 2 weeks of the month. Which is good for us. Also they schedule interviews 4 weeks ahead. good luck.

Sooo it seems NVC is working on the second week of October (10/15 or so). Has anyone seen any CCs on facebook?

According to the list I've made there are not many cases with scan date 1X pending to be reviewed. Just one more user (patnjac) left and then we hit the 20ish!

Of course we don't know if this can be considered an extrapolation of the cases and dates that the NVC is working on but hopefully it's accurate enough!

One time they told me at least 60 days..

They tell me at least 60 days all the time Which is irritating. But hopefully you will hear back in couple of days. Hang in there.

Supervisors don't do anything. They nicely tell you to shut up and wait and provide what they requested. I have been talking to them many times.

Try to talk to a supervisor but I doubt they will be able to do anything. In your case I would try to overnight the doc and have the time rolling.
