Is it normal to review the aos first? When I called the rep said, my aos already been reviewed.

They usually review packages together not sure why they only reviewed one in your case.

I dont have a checklist.. my scan date is October 14 on both packages.

I called twice Monday and Tuesday to verify that my aos has been reviewed and both rep said yes. Hopefully it's true and I don't have checklist for aos. Just waiting for my IV docs to be reviewed.

Quick question for those of you who have completed the DS-260. Did any of you run into issues in regards to having the exact dates for the employment and educational history section?

We are gathering all of the necessary information so that as soon as it becomes available we can complete it, however, my husband is having a hard time remembering exact dates. He has months and years for everything, but no days except the day he completed college. Any suggestions as to what to do?

I feel your pain, we went through the same thing, and I called NVC. The lady I spoke with said to put approximate dates, that they understand its almost impossible to remember exact dates, so that's what we did. I'm Oct. 23rd scan date, so I'm begging God to look over us for no checklists.

NVC received our petition Nov. 20th... now just waiting for a case number to be assigned. My husband was just informed that he's losing his job this week. I don't know how we're going to afford living apart these next couple months. Does NVC accept expedites for financial hardship??

I don't think they do consider that. I myself applied to NVC for expedite and got denied. I would also encourage you to not let NVC know that your husband is about to lose his job, that can make it worse. Just try to go with the flow. Hope your husband finds a job soon. I was unemployed for 5 months and just got hired. NVC didn't know anything about me losing my job. Turned out ok for me. Best of luck.

aos checklist scan date 14th October and today finally my AOS Fees Status Changed to N/A...

How? When I fill in my DS-260 I will need to mark it as unemployed as I took voluntary redundancy to fund my visa application/have a large sum of money available to buy a car, put a deposit on a house, etc.

I thought you already filed DS-260. In that case you have to fill out that your husband is unemployed. Fingers crossed hopefully it won't create any problems.

I called to NVC on Friday to find out the Status of my case, I am waiting for CC. My scan date is OCT28. I am on the 40th day. They gave me the usual bool about 60 day policy and also asked what is your usual response for now, is it 50 day's ? is it 40 days? She said for now they are going approximately 55-60 days. Thought I would share this.

No I have to wait for 20 more days ...

And one more question to everyone. How to you call and get to AVR to find out your case update? I wasn't able to get to AVR. It always puts me to hold for a representative.

No, not yet. We're still waiting for the IV invoice. I could understand there being issues if the petitioner doesn't have a job as they won't meet the income requirements for AOS (unless they had joint sponsors that did). I wasn't aware of the beneficiary's circumstances affecting how the NVC handles cases. Probably if they had been unemployed for some time as they'd be more likely to become a public charge.

The AVR system was shut down a couple years ago. You can only speak with a representative.

That's good to know. Let's hope the rep from NVC didn't mislead you. I'll be following your progress to see how things turn out. I'm sure you will hear something before we are able to fill out the form. We're on day 24 with NVC and still no case number.
